Rockin' Rolls Sushi focuses on its distinctive "all-you-can-eat" conveyor belt dining model, complemented by made-to-order kitchen items:
All-You-Can-Eat Conveyor Belt Dining: This is the signature experience. Freshly made sushi rolls, appetizers, and other Japanese small plates are placed on a revolving conveyor belt that passes by tables. Diners simply open a door and pick up the dishes they want as they go by. This allows for immediate enjoyment and the chance to try many different items in small portions.
Lunch Pricing: Typically offered Monday - Friday from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Dinner Pricing: Typically offered Monday - Friday from 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM, and all day Saturday & Sunday from 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM.
Touchscreen Ordering for Kitchen Entrees: In addition to the conveyor belt, each table is equipped with a tablet for ordering hot, freshly prepared kitchen items. These items are typically included in the all-you-can-eat price. Options often include:
Hibachi Entrees: Such as Hibachi Chicken, Hibachi Steak, Hibachi Shrimp, and Hibachi Vegetable.

Rockin' Rolls Sushi offers several distinct features that appeal to its target audience in North Carolina:
Unique Conveyor Belt Concept: The "all-you-can-eat" conveyor belt sushi experience is a primary draw. It's an interactive and novel way to dine, allowing customers to instantly grab what appeals to them as it passes by. This can be especially fun for groups or families.
All-You-Can-Eat Value: For a single price, diners can enjoy an unlimited quantity of sushi, appetizers, and kitchen entrees. This appeals to those with a hearty appetite or who wish to sample many different dishes without concern for individual plate costs.
Variety of Options: The menu boasts a wide array of sushi rolls (both classic and specialty), nigiri, and hot kitchen items like hibachi and tempura. This ensures that even those who aren't exclusively sushi lovers can find something to enjoy.
Tablet Ordering: The convenience of ordering hot food directly from a touchscreen tablet at the table enhances the efficiency and personalization of the dining experience, allowing patrons to get items made fresh.
Music Selection: As one reviewer noted, the "music playlist is dope," suggesting a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for those who appreciate good background music with their meal.
Accessibility for Non-Sushi Eaters: With a substantial selection of hibachi, teriyaki, and fried appetizers available through the kitchen order system, Rockin' Rolls offers excellent "backup options" for diners in a group where some may not be fans of raw sushi.
Rockin' Rolls Sushi, being an all-you-can-eat establishment, intrinsically offers value through its pricing model. However, specific promotions and loyalty programs can enhance the dining experience for North Carolina locals:
All-You-Can-Eat Pricing Tiers: The restaurant offers different pricing for lunch and dinner, often making lunch a more budget-friendly option. There are also tiered prices for children based on age (e.g., 3-6 age and 7-11 age), making it family-friendly.
Lunch (Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM): Typically priced lower for adults.
Dinner (Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM; Saturday & Sunday, 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM): Slightly higher adult pricing, offering extended hours and potentially a broader selection of items.
Loyalty Program: Rockin' Rolls Sushi encourages repeat visits through its "RNR loyalty program." Customers can "earn 1 point for every $1 you spend" and then "redeem points for discounts, merchandise and special awards!" This is a great way for regular diners to save money and get rewarded for their patronage.
Potential Happy Hour Deals: While not explicitly detailed, some reports suggest there may be happy hour specials, possibly even on weekends, for select drinks or appetizers. However, direct confirmation from the restaurant is advisable.
To ensure you have the most up-to-date information on pricing, special events, and loyalty program benefits, North Carolina locals are encouraged to visit Rockin' Rolls Sushi's official website or inquire directly by phone before their visit.

For residents of North Carolina, particularly in the Charlotte area, Rockin' Rolls Sushi presents a unique and compelling dining option, especially for those who enjoy a novel and abundant Japanese food experience. While experiences can vary, its core appeal lies in its "all-you-can-eat" model and dynamic atmosphere, making it a suitable choice for certain local preferences.
Firstly, the "all-you-can-eat" conveyor belt system is a significant draw. It provides an efficient and exciting way to sample a wide array of sushi rolls, appetizers, and hot kitchen items without waiting for individual orders to be prepared (for belt items). This can be particularly appealing for groups, families, or individuals with a hearty appetite who want to try a bit of everything without the constraint of fixed plate pricing. The small portions on the belt also encourage exploration and minimize waste, allowing diners to truly "rock" through the menu.
Secondly, the inclusion of made-to-order hibachi and other kitchen entrees via touchscreen tablets provides a crucial alternative for those in a group who might not be avid sushi eaters. This versatility ensures that everyone in the party can find something they enjoy, from classic rolls to savory cooked dishes. The "dope" music playlist also contributes to a lively and fun environment, perfect for a casual outing with friends or family.
While some patrons have noted inconsistencies in certain aspects of the dining experience, the overall concept and the sheer volume of options at a fixed price offer a distinctive value proposition. For locals seeking a unique, interactive, and all-you-can-eat Japanese meal that promises variety and a lively atmosphere, Rockin' Rolls Sushi in Charlotte's Elizabeth neighborhood is certainly worth exploring for an engaging culinary adventure.

Rockin' Rolls Sushi Reviews
The first thing I did when I arrived was tell them it was my first time. They explained everything to me about how it works.-The food isn't good.-They gave me a table at the end of the route and almost nothing arrived.-They should organize the logistics better.-They never collected my plates at any time.…The only thing I was able to enjoy was the cheesecake.
May 24, 2025 · cristian azuajeSo, from the time I walked, I was pumped because I love Japanese food. I planned to break my fast. The price increased by $3, which is always a bad sign. I get to the table. I used a tablet to order my dinner entree, but you get sides off the belt, which is very limited. They don't provide many ways to customize your $20+ meal. Smh. I digress. The food was just okay. I asked if I could get mines well done, and they told me they just cooked it all at once, and how it comes is how it comes. I was so disappointed. Poor good customer service. It's just lazy, except for runners and kitchen. I plan to post this on TripAdvisor, Yelp, or wherever because this is the most disappointing Japanese experience ever. 😞 I was going to go 2 stars 🌟 but as I write ✍️🏾 they lost another star. 1 🌟 👎I do not recommend Rockin Rolls Suchi. Save your money and time. Their music playlist is dope 🎶. To end on a positive note 📝
Apr 14, 2025 · Jeremiah GloverFor a sushi gourmet this is not the place, very mediocre taste. The idea is really cool, and that’s what attracts people here. It is “All you can eat”, including the ordered food from the pad at the table. I liked that the portions are small so you can try different. The atmosphere is a bit more on the cheap canteen style. Service is good, fast, responsive, they come to your table and pick up your little plates regularly.
Jun 13, 2024 · Olga AndrizhievskayaFun sushi eatery with plenty of options. I’ll say the desserts aren’t good at all. Purely my opinion but i wouldn’t waste time on desserts and concentrate on what’s actually good.My wife is a fan of the tofu and other vegetarian options as well. She’s a huge fan of the teriyaki veggies.Personally I think it’s a bit pricey, but my wife is a huge fan. Happy wife happy life😁.My favorite was the teriyaki steak. The rice rounded that out perfectly.
Aug 02, 2024 · Damian WilsonI came here by myself since I had a craving for AYCE sushi. Their lunch deal is nice. While their quality isn't as amazing as if you were to order a la carte, I was still able to enjoy my food and leave full and happy. You get the options of not only sushi, but appetizers, and hibachi. I did not try the hibachi but it looks good. The shumai and the shrimp tempura were really good appetizers I tried. I loved that it was revolving sushi style so in case you don't want to talk to people, good for that.Parking lot is next to store and little walks away. It is the rocky parking lot so be aware of that. There is street parking but you have to pay and it may be all taken.
