Sakura Bana Restaurant Reviews
We had a wonderful dining experience at Sakurabana. We opted for the omakase along with three rolls: the Dynamite Toro Roll, Laurie Roll, and Salmon Skin Roll. Each dish was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. The Dynamite Toro Roll was especially rich and flavorful, while the Laurie Roll offered a unique and satisfying combination. The salmon skin roll was crisp and savory—an excellent contrast to the other selections.Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made sure we felt welcome throughout our meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and elegant, making it a great place for a special night out or a casual dinner with good company. Overall, Sakurabana delivers on both quality and experience. We’ll definitely be back!
May 08, 2025 · Satomi MiyazawaI wanted very much to like this place. I was excited for this experience.I ordered $77 worth of sushi for 1 person at a BYOB! However I was amazed by the size of the 2 rolls I ordered which totalled $40. Then I looked at the table behind me( a couple with their young children) and their rolls were twice the size of mine! I have not paid 22.95 for a roll in New Jersey except at the River Palm or at Lefke's, which totally are worth it!Not very good quality. This is not a top level sushi restaurant. The photos say it all. The food was poorly presented and these photos were enlarged for detail. Was a terrible dining experience.Top roll was 17.95$Bottom was 22.95$ which was the Wycoff roll ( which had spicy tuna and the tuna had no heat at all.) My instinct told me they had the gentleman that does the take out orders prepare my order and they had the real sushi chefs doing everybody else's dishes-which really is disturbing. Just because I am a professional woman over 50 and dining alone, doesn't give you the right to give me a lower quality meal! Wow that is shameful!I spent over $80 for a C rated meal.Really was hoping the reviews were correct but they are not. I was ripped off. I just hope I will not get sick tonight. See attached photo.
Jan 24, 2024 · HRLove some of the special rolls like the Laurie Roll with small scallops and a little hotness. Sticking with the spicy crunch rolls, eel and the like. Staff is great as is the owner. Consistent mainstay of Ridgewood.
May 12, 2025 · Lorne CaplanI've been coming here once a week for 20 years and the sushi and service remain exceptional. Always fresh and delicious with excellent variety.
May 08, 2025 · Jeremey DonovanThis place came highly recommended….. let’s just say if you want bad service and applied food this would be the place for you. The sushi was no good and the cream cheese was spoiled…. They acted like we lied to them when we told them this is bad. Anyhow we wanted to make this our new spot based upon the 3 recommendations from personal friends and we won’t return…. Ohh mind you the waitress wanted to know if we would want anything else when we ordered because they were going to close early since there wasn’t enough people in the restaurant. Picnic sushi in Fort Lee is the freshest spot around. No need for us to try and find variety…. Trust what you like and know!
