The experience includes culinary entertainment, with chefs performing tricks and engaging with diners. This is particularly popular for groups and families, as highlighted by a customer who mentioned an "amazing show" that "entertained the whole table, including my 3 & 4 year olds!"
Dine-In Service: Beyond the hibachi tables, Sakura also offers traditional seating for those who prefer a quieter meal or are opting for non-hibachi menu items like sushi or kitchen entrees.
Takeout Services: For customers who prefer to enjoy their Japanese food at home, takeout options are typically available for most menu items. This allows for convenience without sacrificing flavor.

The interactive cooking demonstration, complete with tricks and entertainment, creates a dynamic and memorable dining experience, making it suitable for all ages, including young children, as one review explicitly stated how the chef "entertained the whole table, including my 3 & 4 year olds!"
Delicious Food Quality: Beyond the entertainment, the food itself receives high marks. Reviewers consistently describe the food as "amazing" and "great," indicating that quality is maintained even amidst the showmanship.
Friendly and Great Service: The staff at Sakura Japanese Steakhouse are frequently noted for their positive demeanor. Phrases like "Great service, friendly" appear in customer feedback, highlighting a welcoming and attentive atmosphere that contributes to a positive dining experience.
Family-Friendly Environment: The entertaining nature of the hibachi show makes it an excellent choice for families with children. The ability to engage and entertain young diners is a significant plus for parents looking for a fun meal out.
Communal Dining Experience: The hibachi tables offer a unique opportunity for communal dining, where different parties can share a table, sometimes leading to pleasant interactions, as evidenced by one customer's appreciation for other diners "paying for our time out."
However, it's also important to address a notable concern raised by a customer:
Cleanliness of Artificial Decor: One review specifically mentioned a "massive amount of dust on the artificial bamboo in the windows," leading to concerns about "air quality of the restaurant" and the possibility of dust falling into food. While the food and service were still rated highly (4 stars), this aesthetic and cleanliness issue was significant enough to make the customer "unlikely that I will recommend this restaurant until they take care of the cleaning issue." This suggests a need for attention to visible decorative elements that might impact a diner's perception of hygiene.

Birthday Celebrations: Japanese steakhouses are very popular for birthdays. They often provide special services for birthday guests, such as a complimentary dessert, a birthday song from the staff, or sometimes a discount for the birthday person's meal when dining with a group. This is a common and highly anticipated feature for many local families.
Combination Platters: Special pricing on multi-protein hibachi combinations (e.g., steak and chicken, shrimp and scallops) or sushi/sashimi platters designed for sharing can offer better value.
Holiday or Seasonal Deals: Around major holidays or special events, restaurants might offer fixed-price menus or limited-time promotions.

Apr 22, 2025 路 Dana TaylorGreat food, friendly staff, but please clean the artificial bamboo in the windows. We were sitting at a window table and I looked up to discover massive amounts of dust on the bamboo. It could have easily fallen into our food and made me concerned about the air quality of the restaurant. I gave 4 stars because of the food and service, but it is unlikely that I will recommend this restaurant until they take care of the cleaning issue.
Aug 24, 2024 路 Cristen DuenasMy family and I came here after my brother鈥檚 medical school graduation. None of us had ever been to a hibachi restaurant before so the idea was very exciting. We all ordered the vegetarian hibachi dinner. It comes with soup and salad. We are all vegetarian so we thought the soup and salad would be all right. The soup broth contains chicken, which a staff member was kind enough to inform us about. The salad came out very quickly and we all started digging in. Delicious dressing and crisp lettuce. A couple bites into the salad, I found a LIVE COCKROACH in my salad. Suffice it to say, we left immediately. The staff did not charge us and we did not wish to wait around for a manager to apologize as the incident was disgusting. From the service perspective, they did a great job in moving quickly and I have nothing but good things to say about the behavior of the staff. Cannot say the same about the cleanliness of their kitchen. Would avoid coming here if you prioritize a hygienic kitchen.
May 17, 2025 路 JyotiOur waitress was fantastic but the host was rude and unwelcoming. Barely looked up from her phone before not saying anything to us and seated us. They charge $5 to change your fried rice to lo mein noodles. Rice had no flavor, chicken and shrimp were way over cooked.
May 25, 2025 路 Zachary MillerWalked in at 342pm. Was asked "how many?". My boss said "2" and the lady said "well, we are closing at 3 so order take out." Lol. Very rude, but we continued to order takeout. Both of us had miso/clear soup, hibachi ribeye and shrimp with fried rice. Added a 3 roll sushi deal. Spicy crab roll, spicy tuna roll and a California roll. The crab and the tuna were GROUND up and mashed into a roll of rice. Thats it lol3 to 4 cubes of tan beef and the rest was rice and a few pieces of veggies. My boss also had a clear piece of jelly stuff in the bottom of his soup. I would give negative stars if I could. Ridiculous.
