Sakura Sushi & Steak & Hot Pot offers an extensive range of services and menu options, primarily centered around its all-you-can-eat model:
- All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Dining: This is a primary draw, allowing customers to order unlimited sushi, hibachi, hot pot, and Japanese BBQ items from a specific menu for a fixed price. There are usually different tiers (e.g., "Gold Meal") with varying selections.
- Revolving Sushi Conveyor Belt: The restaurant features a "conveyor belt sushi system," where plates of sushi continuously pass by tables, allowing for quick and easy selection. While some guests note it might be "lacking" on slower days (like Mondays), it remains a fun and unique way to try various rolls.

- Sushi and Sashimi Selection: A wide variety of sushi and sashimi are available. While the basic selection might lean towards "avocado or imitation crab," customers can often find or upgrade to options like eel, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and various specialty rolls (e.g., Dynamite Roll, Caterpillar Roll, Sakura Roll, Surfer Roll, Texas Style Fried Roll, Bobcat Roll, Texas State Roll).
- Hot Pot: Customers can enjoy a hot pot experience, selecting from a variety of broths and a new area for fresh vegetables and meats to cook at their table.
- Hibachi: Sakura offers hibachi dishes, including popular options like Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Teriyaki, and various Hibachi Grill Combos (e.g., steak, chicken, shrimp).
- Japanese BBQ: While details are less specific, the restaurant advertises Japanese BBQ as part of its offerings, suggesting a grilled meat component.
- Appetizers and Sides: A selection of appetizers is available, such as Edamame, Gyoza, Crab Rangoon (highly praised for its unique sauce), Shrimp Shumai, and Tempura. They also offer soups (Miso Soup, Clear Soup, Hot and Sour Soup) and salads (House Ginger Salad, Seaweed Salad).
- Desserts: Ice cream (including green tea ice cream) and other desserts are typically available to complete the meal.
- Beverages: A selection of soft drinks, as well as alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, sake, and potentially margarita towers.

Sakura Sushi & Steak & Hot Pot Reviews
If you are looking for an inexpensive solution to sushi then this is your place. Do not expect over the top flavor or quality as it is an all you can eat. I'll just start with the salad that no one told us it comes with some strange pink strawberry sauce, followed up with some sort of clear egg drop soup. It has a revolving sushi as well as order off menu. As an avid sushi goer the selection is rather basic you either get avocado or imitation crab. There are up charges to eel or some other fish selections however for 16$ for lunch all you can eat it was worth the price.
Jan 04, 2025 · Immortal Senpai (Andrew)We got the gold meal and it was amazing. Although the conveyor belts are lacking (we came on a Monday but it's still part of my stars) the food we ordered was amazing. My friends and I plan to come back soon and try the hotpot.Only took a picture of the ice cream but the rest looked awesome too.
Mar 25, 2025 · InductedWent for a late lunch. Was our first time here and we got Taylor as our server. He made everything understandable, was very nice. Enjoyed his recommendation of the Keelie roll. And finished everything off wth a fried banana spring roll and some ice. Cream to beat the heat. Loved the vibe. Will definitely come back.
May 25, 2025 · jacob Lopez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Hot Pot & Sushi Experience at Sakura!Sakura in San Marcos is an absolute must-visit! The food was beyond amazing—the sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the hot pot broths were to die for. Every bite was packed with rich, savory goodness, making for an unforgettable dining experience. Our waitress was fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and so thoughtful in her recommendations. She helped us navigate the menu and suggested combinations that we wouldn’t have thought of but ended up loving! And the ambiance? Otherworldly! The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and had a unique charm that made the whole experience even more special. Whether you’re a hot pot lover, a sushi fan, or just looking for an incredible meal, Sakura is the place to go! We’ll definitely be back!
Mar 15, 2025 · Tye BrantleyEDIT: They have raised their prices exponentially. The food is just as good but it costs an arm And a leg to eat here now. So sad :'(I've been coming to this place for a bit now, and they recently renovated. The food was already great, but the atmosphere had drastically improved! I really like what they're doing with the place. The food is always great too! A good selection of food, including lots of options if you don't like raw fish. The all you can eat sushi conveyor is a great deal as well. When you order hot dishes, they come out super fresh since they are made to order. And the sushi rolls are always made very nicely. Also, I know they have a good drink selection. I can't vouch for the quality since I have yet to get one, but they have margarita towers of different sizes and deals on flights of drinks.I have yet to try the hot pot, but they have a new area for fresh veggies to select from for your hot pot.Very attentive staff as well!Overall, it's just a really good place that more people need to visit. Every time we bring someone, they get hooked.
