sankaku onigiri cafe & bar Reviews
My favorite spot for a quick and tasty bite! All of the onigiri are so delicious, and the side dish portions are huge. The owner is also very sweet. Great for dining in or take out.
April 12 · Bianka AustinWow! I don’t know if it’s the flavor combinations, the fluffy rice, or both. But these have got to be the best onigiris we’ve had (Japanese hubby who grew up in Hawaii agrees). We got the tuna mayo and ume konbu for dine in and we loved them so much, we decided to get other onigiris to go. Also got the Smokey peach cocktail and it was tasty and well balanced. Such a cute little spot in Capitol Hill and incredibly friendly staff.
May 25 · Chris THThis owner and restaurant is 10/10. Had a lunch box with salmon. Cabbage slaw, potato salad, egg side dish. She knows flavor. Perfection. The quality in the ingredients top notch. Wonderful salmon. There’s a ton of food and care that goes into this. I found out well worth the price. Not to even mention she does all of this gluten free?!!!!!! Amazing
January 26 · Maggie Yudedicated gluten free and celiac safe, although they dont advertize it. The menu changes regularly, and the weekend special sankaku box set is my favorite thing on the current menu.
February 02 · SeaFood tasted fine, it was a well balanced and healthy meal, despite being on the pricey side for what I’m getting.BUT very dishonest business practice!! I ordered a sankaku set which was $28, and after tax the screen showed me $31. The staff never gave me a printout receipt for tips and don’t remember seeing a tip screen after swiping my card either (maybe i missed it? the cashier could’ve asked me to “answer a few questions” if thats the case). Basically I was never asked how much I want to tip. Later in the day I checked my bank statement and they charged me $39.32??? They basically gave themselves a 26% tip without my consent 😡
