First of all, this isn’t a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant run by Japanese chefs, and while I understand that many chefs come from similar training backgrounds, the overall experience just didn’t stand out. It felt very similar to many other places, probably because they all come from the same school or style. I wouldn’t recommend this spot for serious sushi lovers or anyone who’s really into omakase. For instance, the two pieces of mackerel served almost back to back had a strong, overpowering fishy flavor and weren’t very different from each other, aside from one being seared.The staff was friendly and attentive, and the chef was knowledgeable. However, his thick accent made it a bit difficult to fully understand him at times.

The staff were very courteous and detail oriented. Our jackets were taken care of when we sat down at the bar. And once our meal was done they held out our coats for us to slip into them.The meal was $195 for about 14 to 15 courses. Each dish was flavorful and fresh. The use of ingredients were creative and had wonderful taste. And by the end of the meal we were full.
