Senyo by Ramen Ippo Reviews
I heard great reviews of their black garlic ramen, so I had to try it myself. This food cart is in a small Smile Pod of three. But two of the food carts are from the same restaurant, and only one was open.I tried the dan dan noodles with a 3-spice level and black garlic ramen with a 4-spice level. First of all, it really wasn't that spicy, even at 4 stars. I would definitely ask for 5 stars next time. The ramen bowls were quite small. Although the ramen cost $13.50 a bowl, there wasn't much ramen or soup. It came with only one thick slice of char siu. There were some corn and pickled radish. I was missing a soft-boiled egg or seaweed slices. The soup base was very good; I think it could have had more garlic flavor. The dan dan noodles were very similar to the other ramen dish; just the soup base was different. All in all, it was a tasty bowl of ramen. I feel that the value may not be as good as some other ramen restaurants in town.
May 23, 2025 · Dory TangGreat bowl of ramen. We loved the black garlic Ramen. It was very flavorful and peppery. Spice levels can be added. A three was enjoyable. Tan tan is also a good choice. Gyozas were full of flavor and rice was perfectly cooked. Definitely would recommend. Easy to get to and parking wasn’t terrible.
Mar 02, 2025 · Donna Marie AbrilMy partner and I tried this place for the first time for lunch yesterday. We're originally from socal, LA area and haven't found a good ramen place since moving to Oregon. When we got here we ordered the black garlic ramen at 3/5 spice level. The menu is small which took us by surprise but they absolutely nailed their ramen. This ramen is FANTASTIC. it's better than most ramen places I've been to in California! And my partner absolutely LOVED the ramen. He never really liked ramen before this place and after having the ramen here, he said he finally understood why people love ramen and he's so disappointed that it took him so long to find a good ramen place. After we left, he couldn't stop talking about the ramen and how good it was. And we will 100% be going back again!I HIGHLY recommend this place! 10/10!
Apr 26, 2025 · ML (waterp00p)As I walking around Sellwood, I found Senyo on New Year's Day, I was pleasantly surprised to find a cozy spot open for a comforting meal. With a limited yet enticing menu, I opted for the black garlic ramen, maze soba, and gyoza. The black garlic ramen was a delightful bowl of umami goodness. The broth, rich and robust with hints of garlic, enveloped the perfectly cooked noodles, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The tender slices of pork belly were a savory delight, adding depth to each spoonful. The maze soba was a unique and satisfying choice. Mixing the savory minced meat, chewy noodles, and a medley of toppings created a symphony of textures and tastes that kept me going back for more. The gyoza, with its crispy bottom and juicy filling, were an absolute treat.Overall, Senyo exceeded expectations with their delicious offerings, making it a delightful start to the new year. The fact that they were open on a holiday was an added bonus, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their flavorsome menu!
Jan 01, 2024 · Linda NguyenSuch good ramen. The broth in both dishes was delicious. The added egg to the black garlic was nice to balance the rich and savory flavors. This place goes head to head with other top notch ramen restaurants in the area. Will definitely be back! Also note, we both did level 3 spicy and it was a pretty true mild to medium - do go higher if you prefer heat.
