What a delightful experience we've had every time we've been here. The food is exceptionally good. The service is always friendly. And I've never had to wait for a table. Make sure to get the sashimi. The cuts are HUGE and well worth the $.

Shima is our favorite restaurant in the area, bar none. Great Japanese cuisine. A wide variety of delicious sushi rolls, and tempura that is so light and fresh it is my wife’s go to favorite choice when we dine there. The sashimi is magnificent; it absolutely melts in your mouth and is easily as good as any I have enjoyed in Tokyo. Portions are so generous at Shima that we often order an extra serving of nabeyaki udon to bring home and share for lunch the next day. Don’t miss Shima if you are in Stanwood or passing through on the way to Camano Island.

Thank you for graciously taking our takeout order when we arrived at 7:47 pm! It was our first family reunion meal since 2019. I hadn't seen my son since May. We were able to enjoy the most delicious dinner together over wine 🍷 at our Camano Island VRBO. Especially enjoyed flavorful agadashi, 🍤, 🥟, 🍣!!! Loved negihama.

Had a wonderful dinner at Shima. The sushi was fresh, delicious and came out fast. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The seating was well spaced but limited to first come, first served so be ready for a wait if you arrive at a busier time. It is very much worth the wait.
