Shoto's Japanese Seafood and Steak House Reviews
Didn’t realize I’d need to throw it in a pan myself.Last time I ate here was some many years ago and it seems it’s gone downhill since then. This was almost $20?! It looked undercooked (first), I cooked it longer (2nd pic)Last pic is after I cooked it myself
April 12 · bobert21scarboroShoto's is the place you go when you want a quick Japanese style meal. It's fairly inexpensive and the staff are friendly. They offer a few vegan options too.
January 17 · Lady A McCrackenWe moved to the area and looked for a close Japanese restaurant to try. We decided to try this place. Let me say first, the waitress was amazing, she seemed to be running the place exempt from cooking. We ordered chicken and steak hibachi, chicken and shrimp hibachi, soup, salad, caterpillar roll and a white dragon and a hot tea . We got about 10 minutes into eating, enough time for my kid to finish the shrimp and off to the bathroom just to get sick and throw it up. The sushi was not worth it. rolls were tough and the food was uncomfortably sweet and a weird after taste. Was not expecting the combination to be so revolting. Shortly after leaving one the way home both my husband and I started feeling uneasy. I then threw up as soon as I parked and following the morning today. Please read the reviews. We wish we had. Maybe just get a drink, they had a lovely bar.
May 07 · APRIL FARLOWLove eating here. The staff are always friendly. The food is good and I’m always happy when I leave. I would suggest giving it a try if you are in the area. They have a large dining area that can accommodate different size parties. We always get seated quickly even when we have a large group. The food is always consistent, which is always a plus in my book.
April 02 · W AndersonI had such an enjoyable eating experience here! Talk about a gem for a small town like Thomasville! The Tsunami roll had an interesting crunchy element to it; it is the town’s favorite so it’s worth a try. Overall, I preferred the Rainbow roll, it was more flavorful & tasty.I also ordered the house special, which was both hearty and tasty! My favorite appetizer were the Shoto’s House Egg Rolls. They may look thin egg rolls but each bite enveloped my mouth with savory cream cheese & crab meat! They didn’t cheat you on either ingredient.I highly recommend checking out this lovely restaurant! Everything here is homemade & it genuinely tastes like it too!!
