This provides a unique and affordable way to sample multiple dishes from their innovative menu during midday hours, with options like Sushi & Sashimi Kawasaki Lunch or Choice Maki Kawasaki Lunch.
- Omakase Experience: While at the higher end of pricing ($175+ per person based on some reports), their omakase (chef's tasting menu) is a curated, multi-course journey that represents a special "offer" in terms of unique culinary artistry and a comprehensive tasting of the chef's best.
- Private Dining Packages: For groups and events, Soto's private dining rooms may come with customizable menu packages or special arrangements that offer value for larger parties. Interested parties are encouraged to inquire directly for details on these arrangements.
- Seasonal and Off-Menu Items: While not a "promotion," the availability of daily chef specials and "off the menu items" (especially during slower times when Chef Andy has more creative freedom) can be seen as a special offering for discerning regulars, adding an exclusive touch to the dining experience.
To confirm the most current happy hour details, lunch specials, or any other specific offerings, it is always best for Texans to check Soto's official website or call the restaurant directly.

Soto Reviews
Our recent visit to this Japanese restaurant left a strong impression, thanks to its professional service and thoughtful culinary presentation. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and added a polished touch to the overall experience. The cocktail selection is impressive—well-balanced and crafted with care, making for a delightful start to the meal. While the portion sizes throughout the menu leaned on the smaller side, the quality and detail in presentation helped to balance this.A standout dish was the Seabass Soup, which we highly recommend for spice lovers. Infused with bold Thai chili heat and elevated by the aromatic presence of fresh mint on the decorative plate, this dish engages all five senses and showcases a creative fusion of flavors.Staple offerings such as sushi, tempura, and udon were of a standard, consistent quality—pleasant, though not particularly memorable. The restaurant’s signature dish, Salmon on Fire, delivered both in flavor and showmanship. Its dramatic presentation and well-executed flavor profile make it a highlight for first-time visitors.Do note, the pricing is on the higher end, so come prepared for a premium dining experience. Overall, the meal was enjoyable, and the attention to detail—especially in service and select dishes—makes this a place worth visiting for those seeking a refined Japanese dining experience with a modern twist.

May 03, 2025 · Vergil CoronadoThis was my first time here but won't be my last! The service was great and our server recommended many items that we enjoyed. My favorites were the lobster tempura and the lobster tempura roll (not shown). A little pricey but worth the experience in my opinion. Great food, great presentation, great service!
Feb 18, 2025 · John VI absolutely adore both this location and the South Lamar location. The food is fabulous, and the omikase is brilliantly crafted! Each dish is more decadent than the last and is lovingly crafted by people who care for and value sushi and good food! I went again last night and had the omikase here to my absolute delight, a true 10/10 experience all the way through, and I will without a doubt be back again and again!
