My boyfriend and I went here as a celebration for his job promotion and let me tell you, I will definitely return. The moment you walk in the atmosphere shifts, it's a wonderful ambiance, the service is very pleasant. We had a reservation and was taken back early. To start we had lemonade and iced green tea. The lemonade tasted hand squeezed and so fresh. The iced green tea was so refreshing and even though it's unsweetened, you could finish the whole glass without a care! For apps we selected a few to try, the gyoza, tempura avocado, cucumber salad, and some miso soup. 3 of those were a 10/10. The gyoza did not even need a sauce it was wonderful, the cucumber salad was marinated in a beautiful sauce, the miso soup was so flavorful. The only item I rated lower was the avocado tempura, purely for the fact it comes paired with a creamy sauce, personally I used the gyoza ponzu sauce for it and it was much better! For sushi items we got the Salmon Lover, Seared Salmon, and Red Dragon. All rolls were delicious, seared salmon was our favorite and red dragon was our least. But we would still consume them all again. The rolls are pricey at $26 per roll, however, you get a HUGE piece of fish laid atop the rice and real crab in every piece. Just on the size alone it's worth it. For dessert we had sesame balls, fresh and so so tasty! My boyfriend also got the pork katsu donburi togo for his lunch and that was amazing even the next day! - Maddie F.

  • Beverages: Even the drinks receive accolades. The lemonade is described as "hand squeezed and so fresh," while the iced green tea is "so refreshing" and enjoyable even unsweetened.
  • Appetizers:
    • The gyoza is a clear winner, described as "10/10" and so wonderful it "did not even need a sauce."
    • The cucumber salad is praised for its "beautiful sauce," also earning a "10/10."
    • The miso soup is noted for being "so flavorful," rounding out the trio of highly-rated appetizers.
    • The tempura avocado received a slightly lower rating, not due to its quality, but because the reviewer preferred a different sauce (gyoza ponzu) over its creamy pairing, suggesting versatility in how dishes can be enjoyed.
  • Sushi: The sushi rolls are a major draw, consistently lauded for their quality, freshness, and generous portions.
    • The Salmon Lover and Seared Salmon rolls were both described as "delicious," with the Seared Salmon being a particular favorite.
    • The Red Dragon roll, while the reviewer's least favorite of the three, was still deemed delicious and something they "would still consume... again."
    • A significant feature is the portion size and quality of fish: "The rolls are pricey at $26 per roll, however, you get a HUGE piece of fish laid atop the rice and real crab in every piece. Just on the size alone it's worth it." This highlights the value proposition despite the higher price point, emphasizing premium ingredients like "real crab" and substantial fish portions.
    • The fish itself is consistently noted for smelling and tasting "fresh," a critical component for a high-quality sushi experience.
  • Other Dishes: SuBI's culinary prowess extends beyond sushi. The pork katsu donburi ordered for takeout was "amazing even the next day," demonstrating the quality and lasting appeal of their hot dishes.
  • Dessert: The sesame balls are highlighted as a fresh, tasty, and satisfying conclusion to the meal.
