- Dine-In Service: SUGARFISH offers a focused dine-in experience, emphasizing fresh sushi in a streamlined, traditional manner. While the space is described as "small," it consistently delivers an excellent dining experience.

SUGARFISH by sushi nozawa does not typically engage in traditional "promotions" or "happy hour" deals as seen in many other restaurants. Their value proposition is instead built into their unique "Trust Me" menu structure and commitment to quality, which is designed to provide an excellent dining experience at a perceived fair price for the caliber of sushi offered.
The "Trust Me" menus themselves can be viewed as an ongoing "special offer" in that they provide a curated, multi-course meal designed for optimal enjoyment and value. Options such as the "Trust Me Lite" (starting around $22-$25 for lunch/dinner) and the classic "Trust Me" (around $30-$35 for lunch/dinner) offer a comprehensive tasting experience that showcases the best of SUGARFISH at a structured price point. The "Don't Think, Just Eat Trust Me" is the most extensive, offering a full exploration of their best items for a higher but justified price (around $59).
Customers consistently note that while SUGARFISH is a high-quality sushi experience, its pricing is "surprisingly affordable for a Los Angeles celebrity hotspot" and that "the price to quality ratio was perfect." This inherent value, where the cost reflects the exceptional freshness, preparation, and culinary integrity, serves as a continuous "promotion" for discerning diners. While there might not be daily 2-for-1 deals, the consistent delivery of a top-tier sushi experience at a reasonable (for its quality) price is the core appeal.

SUGARFISH by sushi nozawa Reviews
I love this place. Conan O’Brien told us to come here (on his podcast) and it didn’t disappoint. It’s small and you can’t reserve a table but I’ve never had to wait too long. Order the prearranged “trust me” setting of food. It’s worth it, the rice is perfectly fresh and warm, the fish is so fresh and tasty. The scallops are the best thing! Pair it with an Asahi or a sake and it’s wonderful. The only thing they could do is slow the pacing of the courses but then you’d probably wait longer for a table. Seriously love this spot. Highly recommend. But it’s just fish. There aren’t really any dishes with veggies/other protein etc. it’s purely fish (&related) sushi only.
Feb 15, 2025 · Jess FlowerYet another excellent Sugarfish experience!!Surprised to see the place relatively quiet on a Saturday around 1pm but I was okay with that so that it wouldn't be too crazy.I definitely went overboard because I ordered so much more after the set menu and when I was full, but hey, YOLO because it's worth it for Sugarfish. My server was Jenny but I was also helped out by pretty much every staff and they were all super friendly and attentive.I went with the Don't Think, Just Eat to begin with and followed that with a few extra dishes.Everything was so fresh and delicious, the warm rice was perfect, the seaweed was always crispy, and the flavors were divine.Across the board, a few favorites were definitely the tuna cuts especially that toro tasting that sent me to the moon! The pink lobster was the most unique. The lobster hand roll was amazing. The crab cut roll was one of the best I've ever had. The sea bream with shiso was a blast of flavor. Seriously, nothing is ever wrong at Sugarfish.Oh and I got day time drunk with two bottles of Sugarfish Sake because it's so smooth.Happy to return!
May 04, 2025 · Alex XanderI ordered the ‘Trust Me’ set, and the taste was amazing. The quality of the ingredients was excellent too. I couldn’t stop eating—after finishing the set, I ordered four more! If you’re craving sushi, I highly recommend this place!
Feb 28, 2025 · Cute JewrewI love Sushi and am always on the lookout for great Sushi restaurants. We tried SUGARFISH based on good Google reviews. The service was good but as much as we wanted to like it the foods was disappointing. It left us feeling not that good until the next day.
Aug 06, 2024 · Amitis NeekIf you’re planning on dining here in the evening, park across the street at Gowers Gulch for free. And if you come on week night, there’s hardly any wait to be seated. We always get the “Don’t think. Just eat.” and we’re always happy. Know that for beer, they serve Sapporo. If you’re allergic to shellfish, know that there’s lobster in the “Don’t think. Just eat.” that they’ll gladly switch out for you. Service is usually attentive.
