Sunny Teriyaki Introduce
Located at 1221 Sylvan Way in Bremerton, WA, Sunny Teriyaki is a Japanese restaurant that caters to local users seeking quick and convenient Japanese-inspired dishes. While the platform category "Doctor Near Me" typically aids in locating healthcare providers, in the context of Sunny Teriyaki, it could be metaphorically considered a place one might seek for a quick culinary fix or a casual meal. However, based on available information, potential diners should approach this establishment with tempered expectations, particularly when considering it for a "quick fix" for a craving for high-quality or precise Japanese cuisine.
For individuals in Bremerton looking for a Japanese food option, Sunny Teriyaki, reachable at (360) 377-3193 or +1 360-377-3193, presents itself as an establishment offering teriyaki, bento boxes, and other casual Japanese fare. This introduction will objectively summarize the customer experiences shared online to provide a comprehensive overview for local users.
The provided reviews do not offer specific details about the interior environment or ambiance of Sunny Teriyaki. The focus of the customer feedback is predominantly on the food quality and service accuracy, particularly regarding online orders. This lack of descriptive elements about the physical space suggests that Sunny Teriyaki might be a more utilitarian or casual dining establishment, potentially emphasizing quick service and takeout over a curated dine-in experience. Without explicit information, it's difficult to elaborate on aspects like decor, seating arrangements, or overall dining atmosphere. However, the nature of "teriyaki spots" often leans towards a functional and straightforward setup, prioritizing efficiency for customers looking for a quick meal.
The service aspect of Sunny Teriyaki, particularly concerning order accuracy and online delivery, has been a significant point of contention for some customers. One review explicitly details a frustrating experience with an Uber Eats order: "I ordered online thru Uber eats, and I ordered the bento box specialty which comes with some sushi, so i specifically ordered that one because i wanted some sushi. When it arrived there was NO sushi to be seen, how do you forget sushi??? Honestly ruined my whole mood, won’t be ordering from this place again unless im physically there to see my food before leaving." This indicates a critical breakdown in order fulfillment, especially concerning a "specialty box" where sushi was the "key ingredient" and justified a higher price. The reviewer’s statement, "Paid extra money for what… Uber eats already expensive," highlights a significant negative impact on their mood and a lost sense of value, leading to a strong disinclination to order remotely again.
This experience suggests that while Sunny Teriyaki offers online ordering and delivery services, there may be inconsistencies in their execution. For customers reliant on accurate and complete orders, particularly for delivery, this could be a major deterrent. The advice to "only order from this place again unless im physically there to see my food before leaving" underscores a lack of trust in their remote service. While other aspects of service like friendliness or dine-in attentiveness are not explicitly mentioned, the critical feedback on order accuracy points to an area where the restaurant could significantly improve its customer experience.
The culinary offerings at Sunny Teriyaki, while aiming to provide Japanese comfort food, have received mixed reviews regarding their quality and preparation. Specific dishes mentioned include:
- Beef Teriyaki Bento Box: One customer described the beef teriyaki as "a step away from leather," indicating a tough and overcooked texture. The accompanying egg roll was criticized for being "a light blonde to white color," suggesting it was "not cooked or crispy." The potstickers were also deemed "not cooked right." The only components that were considered "okay or good" were the tempura and the rice. This review paints a picture of inconsistent and, in some cases, subpar cooking.
- Chicken Katsu: This dish was described as "soft on the outside and dry and stringy on the inside," indicating poor texture. Furthermore, the accompanying sauce was noted as "not Katsu sauce," suggesting either a misidentification or a non-traditional/inferior version of the expected condiment.
- Sushi: In the case of the "bento box specialty," the sushi was completely omitted from an online order, which was a significant disappointment given it was the "key ingredient" for choosing that specific, more expensive option. While the quality of the sushi itself wasn't directly reviewed due to its absence, the failure to include it fundamentally impacted the customer's perception of the dish's value and the restaurant's reliability.
The sentiment, "I wanted to try it cuz their prices were lower than the other places I've seen around but I guess it's true you get what you pay for!" succinctly summarizes the perceived value proposition. While potentially offering lower prices, the quality of the food appears to be a significant concern for some patrons. The phrase "Food was fine nonetheless" from the Uber Eats reviewer, despite the missing sushi, is a mild endorsement that indicates general palatability but not exceptional quality.
Based on the provided reviews, no specific promotional information or marketing campaigns were mentioned. The restaurant's primary draw appears to be its pricing, as one customer explicitly stated trying it because "their prices were lower than the other places I've seen around." This suggests a value-oriented approach, aiming to attract customers seeking more affordable Japanese options. However, as the review also concludes, "you get what you pay for," implying that the lower prices might correlate with a compromise in quality. For local users in Bremerton searching for "Japanese food near me," Sunny Teriyaki offers a casual and potentially budget-friendly option. However, given the significant negative feedback on food quality and order accuracy, particularly for delivery, potential customers should manage their expectations and consider the trade-offs between price and culinary experience. The restaurant's phone numbers ((360) 377-3193 / +1 360-377-3193) and address (1221 Sylvan Way, Bremerton, WA 98310) are available for those wishing to place orders or visit in person. The reviews highlight areas where improvement in consistent food preparation and order fulfillment would greatly enhance its standing and value within the community.

I ordered a beef teriyaki bento box the beef teriyaki was a step away from leather the egg roll was a light blonde to white color it was not cooked or crispy the potstickers were not cooked right the only thing that was okay or good was the tempura in the rice! My husband had the chicken katsu it was soft on the outside and dry and stringy on the inside and whatever kind of sauce they used was not Katsu sauce! Jan 09, 2025 · Dolly RiveraI ordered online thru Uber eats, and I ordered the bento box specialty which comes with some sushi, so i specifically ordered that one because i wanted some sushi. When it arrived there was NO sushi to be seen, how do you forget sushi??? Honestly ruined my whole mood, won’t be ordering from this place again unless im physically there to see my food before leaving. Food was fine nonetheless. But seriously, how do you miss the key ingredient to the bento box, that’s why it’s the “specialty box” and more expensive. Paid extra money for what… Uber eats already expensive.
Jan 24, 2025 · Hali MilesGood teriyaki food, tastes good, moist, tender full of flavor, but the portion is too little. Good for a teenager , not a full grown American person.Best is to order take out & eat at your own comfortable enjoyable environmentAtmosphere is not friendly, and not comfortable to sit inside. The lounge is extremely cold. Owner is cheap & don't want to spend the money to make it better ,and comfortable for customersBest is make the least interaction with the people working here. The whole place looks run down, and needs updating.Restrooms are behind strong metal locked gate, and are down the stairs. Will not advice, nor suggest to my female friends to use their restrooms without having someone on the outside waiting for themLarge parking lot
Aug 30, 2024 · Ryan ManWent at 11:10 and sat in the drive thru waiting for someone to say something. Also asked hello multiple times, no one said anything so I drove off. When I arrived , the building had the open lights on. I had called and asked if they were open , because I sat in the drive thru and no one had said anything. Met with attitude over the phone, so at that point was kinda over them . Not the first time this has happened , better take your money to the west side and go to yummy pho and teriyaki instead
Mar 20, 2025 · Alyssa BeanThe food portion was not much at all. We dined in and we received our food on to go plates. The service was so horrible and I would think it would be better because we were the only ones in the restaurant. I ordered shrimp fried rice and I was charged for shrimp and chicken…??? Please don’t spend your money here.
