3.5 starsThe food was fine. The Monkey Brains appetizer (stuffed fried mushrooms) was the most notable item I bought. The salmon nigiri I got "filled" the whole package, but when I accidentally tipped it a little, they all flattened to fill just a third of it.Ultimately, I spent $35 and felt the fish portions were small (the Monkey Brains felt appropriately priced). They have an All You Can Eat option, and I think all the portions are geared towards that. Probably good deal and portions if you dine in for AYCE. Wouldn't recommend it to-go.
Feb 02, 2025 路 AshleyVisiting Austin for one weekend my daughter and I stopped here for a quick bite to eat. The veggie egg rolls with their yum yum sauce- so good! We also had shumai (which was deep fried 馃く) that was so freaking delicious. We also had their dumplings that did not disappoint. Thank you to the gentleman who took care of us. It was a lovely delight!
Feb 28, 2025 路 Danielle ArroyoMy first time at night. They claim to close at 10 PM, but the last call was at about 9:10 PM. Too bad they accepted our seating at about 8:45 PM because they also claim that full-dinner buffet is up to 90 minutes. Our food was very good, freshly prepared, and tasty. Our server was great, too. A very disappointing schedule, rushed, with all parties pushed to leave the restaurant way before 10 PM. I didn't see a manager, staff started bussing to close and pay by 9:30. With chairs up at 9:40, all guests were ushered out. They really owe us an apology. I paid about $100 for 2, with 1 soda only. I wouldn't have stayed, had I known their evening rushed, bad business etiquette.
Dec 07, 2024 路 Indy VillagarciaOne of the better value All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi made-to-order restaurants I have been to. For around $35 you can get everything on the menu (a few items limited to one) but overall a great deal. And a very large menu with some creative rolls.馃憤 Food is solid, not spectacular but a good value for what you get. My favorite was the tuna poke, traditionally prepared with a little kick! The handrolls were not great, I would stick with regular rolls here. The nigiri seemed fresh.馃憤 Service was awesome!馃憤 Vibe is fine, small, non-descript, but clean and a diverse crowd.馃憤 AYCE option as well as just ordering 脿 la carte.鉃★笍 Ate: Dynamite Bake, Salmon Skin Handroll, California Handroll, Ikura, Tamago, Hamachi nigiri, Tuna Poke, Shrimp Shumai (not pictured, they are fried not steamed).鉃★笍 Drank: Hot Sake (good, standard sake comes in small and large)
Nov 13, 2024 路 Erin KelleyI got their spicy ramen+special roll lunch special. The sushi itself is not bad. Tastes like HEB sushi rolls warmed up.I was VERY excited for the spicy edamame but was unfortunately disappointed. It looks delicious and like it would be flavorful but it tastes like nothing. It鈥檚 very evident that the edamame is all just steamed in water and then tossed in the chili flakes and minced garlic.Lastly, the ramen was 0/10. It tastes exactly like instant maruchan ramen with added spice. the ramen even had the small veggie pieces that maruchan cup ramen has. Do not recommend.
