This extensive menu means there's something to satisfy every palate, whether you're a sushi aficionado or prefer other Japanese specialties.
Excellent Food Quality for the Price: Many customers are pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food relative to the all-you-can-eat price point. One review specifically mentioned that for two people, the bill was only $41.00 on a Sunday, noting, "We would have paid at least that eating anywhere else and again, it's all you can eat so we got a lot of food." Given its "all you can eat" model, the pricing structure itself acts as a continuous promotion, offering significant value for the quantity and quality of food provided. While specific time-limited promotions or coupons might not be explicitly advertised, the fixed-price model for unlimited fresh, made-to-order Japanese cuisine is a standing offer that appeals to value-conscious diners. Sushi King Reviews
Been here twice now. Both times we went there was only about 3 other tables dining at the restaurant. Kind of shocking the line isn't out the door like every other place because the food is absolutely amazing. It's all you can eat but you order what you want as much as you want and the waitress brings it to the table. We have tried all kinds of sushi, hibachi scallops, seafood lo mein, crab Rangoon, spring rolls, shrimp tempura and more everything is hot and fresh and made to order. Much higher quality than your typical buffet food. Both times we went I was amazed by the freshness and quality of the food cooked to perfection. The sauces were also very good. This is definitely by far my favorite sushi place that exceeds all others. Our bill today (Sunday) was only 41.00 for 2 people. We would have paid at least that eating anywhere else and again, it's all you can eat so we got a lot of food.
Apr 27, 2025 · Jessica StarrWe just learned about this location, decided to try it out. When we got to our table, the chairs were all wobbly, the table was sticky, the chopsticks were rough. The food was edible, but definitely lower quality than the Norfolk location. One of the appetizers that came out had a dead fly in the sauce and completely turned us off of eating anything else. The service wasn't great, had to get up to find out server and ask for a check. We will never go back.
Dec 27, 2024 · Trevor SiegfriedWe had a large party , I know is not ideal for some establishments , we had only one server . He was nice but overwhelmed and stated no one else wanted to help with a large party. That aside the real issue was how the food was coming out. With a party of 13 if 13 people ordered a roll only 8 rolls would come out. Then we would be told it was coming and to order our next round while waiting, and the same thing would occur again. This caused everyone to scramble for whatever food they could get and left some people after an hour and a half still only having received one of the many items actually ordered. Also the kitchen was putting multiple orders on one plate. That would have been fine if it were people that were sitting next to one another. We’d assume that those two people wouldn’t mind sharing as they were sitting close to one another and they would presumably be comfortable sharing food. No, completely different orders from opposite ends of the table and then given plates to sort it out. My daughter a child didn’t receive half of what she order as it just would never come out as the new waves of food were order. It was a mess and we left an all you can eat still hungry. We were given multiple boxes to try and rectify the situation but what good is a box of your order never makes it to the table!!!! My child left hungry and we stopped to get her something in the way home. That’s the real problem. After paying 50 bucks I still had to fill her empty belly.
May 03, 2025 · Dee E.Came to celebrate my brother’s birthday. We had a party of 12. Joseph, our server had horrible customer service skills. We placed orders and some of our party didn’t receive food or drinks after 45 minutes had gone by. When we asked Joseph about the status of some of the orders, he became annoyed. Instead of informing us that there was a delay in the kitchen (which we later learned), he just kept typing in the same orders we were inquiring about. So many orders finally came out but we were confused about who ordered what since it had taken so long. Joseph then says, “There is so much food because there was a delay in the kitchen and instead of waiting, you all kept ordering “. How were we supposed to know if it wasn’t communicated to us. Joseph wasn’t clearing dirty dishes off the table. He wasn’t giving refills and he repeatedly had something slick to say whenever someone asked for anything. His facial expressions and tone definitely wasn’t customer friendly.
May 26, 2025 · Shaunda AnthonyMy boyfriend was excited to take me here for dinner because I have never been. I must say, I have never met such a cold hostess in my life, Destiny. She saw us waiting for a hostess as she walked past. Did not say hi. She appeared to be completely miserable. We all have bad days but dang. She made me not want revisit because when we were seated, she took our drink order and said ok… I ordered a mix drink. She neglected to inform us that they did not serve liquor, I found that to be extremely rude. Nor did she offer a drink menu or come back to tell us the drink I ordered would never be served.Dinner was not busy for a Saturday evening. The decor is modern and the place was clean. It was disappointing that the salad bar was not open nor the ice cream machine. Unfortunately, it seems that their prices have gone up $5 but offer less.Regardless, the food we ordered came out hot and fresh and we have no complaints on any of that. Our server was being trained and doing excellent. Both of them were very nice and attentive. I would like to try the one in Newport News.
