Sushi Mocorito Restaurante is a unique culinary destination in Phoenix, renowned for its specialization in Mexican-style sushi, a flavorful fusion that originated in Sinaloa, Mexico. Unlike traditional Japanese sushi, which often prioritizes simplicity and delicate flavors, Mexican sushi is known for its hearty portions, incorporation of cooked meats, breaded elements, and a liberal use of cream cheese, chipotle, and other robust flavors. Sushi Mocorito prides itself on offering "massive" rolls, ensuring that diners receive substantial value for their money. Their menu features a wide array of "Natural Rolls," "Fried Rolls," and "Baked Rolls," many with creative names and ingredients like "Finikera Roll" and "Llegadora Roll," often combining multiple proteins such as beef, chicken, and shrimp. Beyond sushi, they also offer traditional Mexican dishes and seafood (mariscos), reflecting their Sinaloan roots. This restaurant is a fantastic option for those seeking an "amazing alternative" to more conventional sushi places, promising a unique taste experience and generous servings in a less crowded, more accessible environment.

Sushi Mocorito Restaurante Reviews
Heard about this sushi from a YouTuber named Big Guy Appetite. Love him. We are currently on a road trip so we decided to try it! Was pretty good. Like a lot of people say the rice isn’t typical sushi rice. It’s like a block of rice. Almost overcooked in a way. Saw the prices and thought they were too expensive until I saw the rolls. They are MASSIVE. Overall was pretty good. Wouldn’t try it again though. Wasn’t crave-able.
July 17 · Kacie BThis is an amazing alternative to Senor Sushi, it's cheaper, less crowded with no wait and the sushi tastes heavenly 😋 A must try!! I absolutely loved the Finikera Roll
December 04 · Adventure_With_Purpose TriciaChanged my 5 star review to 1 this is my 2nd time coming here and now very disappointed.First reason person at counter was rude.Second reason no one was wearing a mask ...you can see the cooks in the back NO MASK! Health risk for everyone due to Covid 19 ):Third reason was because my food seemed as if it had been sitting out for a while...waiting time is 1hr.First time but definitely not my last!Food is AWESOME
September 07 · Mrs. MelchorMy friend and I met here for dinner and had an awful experience. The California roll was made with shrimp when it is usually crab that was pre frozen. We both took a single bite of our crab rolls and both were disappointing ; both were tasteless but had an unusual sweet taste at the same time. The restaurant made us pay for the entire roll even though we expressed our disappointment and asked not to be charged for it. I was charged $31 for both of rolls that we did not eat.
February 16 · Roy PenaI have been going to mocorrito on 35th ave and Glendale since it opened and It is a little pricy but the food is good! I do wish the service was better or atleast friendlier. I feel some of the girls who work there and have helped me on numerous occasions are not happy to help me out. What is interesting the men sitting at the restaurant seem to be provided better service. They are not super fast so don’t worry about arriving early if you are picking up an order.. I literally keep going for the food and not the service that is why I do take out..
