Sushi Sapporo Introduce
Hello, fellow Oregonians! For those of us in Portland, especially in the Southeast, who appreciate an incredible dining deal without sacrificing quality, Sushi Sapporo is quickly becoming a must-visit. This rotating sushi bar on SE Washington Street has earned a reputation for providing "extreme value for money," delivering a "Whole Foods experience" at what feels like "Dollar Tree prices." In a city celebrated for its diverse and often high-priced culinary scene, discovering a place that combines affordability with genuinely good taste and excellent service is like finding a hidden gem.
This article is specifically for you, our local Oregon users, to give a comprehensive, engaging, and factual overview of Sushi Sapporo. We'll explore what makes this establishment so highly praised, from its unique conveyor belt system and diverse menu (including vegan options) to the friendly and attentive staff. We understand that for local patrons, a great dining experience encompasses not just the food, but also the atmosphere, cleanliness, and overall value. Sushi Sapporo appears to hit all these marks, offering an experience that one reviewer was "honestly shocked" by due to its unexpected high quality at such low prices.
The concept of a rotating sushi bar, or "kaiten-zushi," originated in Japan and offers a dynamic and interactive dining experience. Plates of freshly prepared sushi and other small dishes move along a conveyor belt, allowing diners to select items as they pass by. This system provides a fun and efficient way to try a variety of dishes. Sushi Sapporo excels in this format, not only by providing a wide selection on the belt but also by allowing customers to order specific items to be made fresh if they're not currently circulating. This flexibility, combined with the reported freshness and deliciousness of the food, truly sets it apart.
The consistent themes in customer feedback highlight the restaurant's commitment to cleanliness, attentive service, and an atmosphere that belies its affordable pricing. While the area might be Southeast Portland, the experience, according to one patron, "reminds me of something more in Northwest Portland," suggesting a level of sophistication and quality often associated with higher-end establishments. This blend of accessibility and unexpected quality makes Sushi Sapporo a compelling choice for any sushi lover in Oregon.

May 27, 2025 路 Madison BrookeVERDICT: Extreme Value for money! 馃挵 Whole Foods experience, dollar tree prices.I'm honestly shocked. The quality and taste along with the inside atmosphere of the staff sure reminds me of something more in Northwest Portland than it does Southeast Portland. It seems to be a place of high-end clientele as there's an Aston Martin vantage in various other high-end luxury vehicles that patronage the restaurant. My experience was absolutely wonderful. Today I haven't been to any sushi restaurant that had this level of table etiquette.I also have to mention that the restaurant is very clean throughout as there are no sticky surfaces or even dust visible. The waiter was attentive and brought a flair of class I really have not experienced at a sushi restaurant before that has this rotation belt style arrangement.I was going to go in there for some egg rolls but this probably is the first time I actually smelled something that was so enticing I actually had to go ahead and get it and it was the sushi rolls I had pictured.I am no sushi expert Nora Japanese food extraordinaire but this absolutely tasted wonderful. My bill was cheaper than what I paid for my coffee next door! 馃槼The value for your money is absolutely ludicrous! There's also no offensive smells in the place, something that even high-end restaurants in my neighborhood have trouble with , at a cost 6x of what you get @ Sushi Sapporo.Plenty of seats and nice booths. Even with the mass of parking in the parking lot make sure to plan ahead because it's usually packed here.Absolutely recommended!

My children loved it!Overall Experience: We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning. Mar 15, 2024 路 Luna KIt's your typical sushi train style restaurant but the food is great, the prices are very reasonable compared to other places I've tried and IMO the music is nice. It's been chill EDM type stuff but I enjoy the vibe. And I've never been a big fan of macaroons and neither has my daughter but we both agree that the ones here must be the magical dessert people try to tell me about. The creampuffs are great as well
