Sushi @ Temple Records focuses on providing a high-end sushi dining experience, with a strong emphasis on the quality of ingredients and the artistry of preparation.
À La Carte Sushi and Sashimi: The restaurant offers an extensive menu of individual sushi and sashimi pieces, allowing diners to select their preferred cuts and types of fish. This often includes a wide variety of traditional and exotic options, prepared with precision.
Maki Rolls: A selection of classic and inventive maki rolls, crafted with fresh ingredients and careful attention to texture and flavor balance. These range from traditional favorites to unique house creations.
Omakase Experience: While not explicitly stated as their sole offering, the nature of a high-end sushi establishment often implies or includes an Omakase option. This "chef's choice" experience allows the sushi chef to showcase their expertise and the freshest seasonal ingredients, offering a curated tasting menu.
Beverage Program: To complement the sushi, the restaurant likely offers a sophisticated beverage program, which typically includes a curated selection of sake, Japanese beers, fine wines, and possibly craft cocktails designed to pair with the delicate flavors of sushi.
Table Service: The dining experience emphasizes attentive and professional table service, ensuring that guests feel well-cared for throughout their meal.
Upscale Dining Ambiance: The overall service includes the provision of a refined and thoughtfully designed interior, contributing to a premium dining atmosphere suitable for special occasions or an elevated meal.
Reservations Recommended: Given its likely popularity as a high-end establishment, making reservations is typically recommended to ensure availability, especially during peak dining hours.
Sushi @ Temple Records is designed to offer a distinctive and memorable sushi experience, setting itself apart through several key features:
Exquisite Ingredient Quality: A paramount feature is the commitment to sourcing exceptionally high-quality ingredients. This often means importing fresh, premium fish and seafood, ensuring a superior taste and texture that is critical for high-end sushi and sashimi.

Central Boston Location: Its prime spot in Downtown Boston makes it a convenient and desirable destination for those seeking a high-quality meal in the heart of the city, easily accessible from various neighborhoods and transport hubs.
Potential for Unique Offerings: Given its high-end positioning, there's a strong likelihood of featuring unique or seasonal fish and specialty items not commonly found at more casual sushi establishments, catering to adventurous palates.
High-end sushi restaurants like Sushi @ Temple Records typically do not offer frequent or heavily advertised promotions in the traditional sense, as their appeal lies in the quality of the experience and ingredients rather than discounted pricing. However, they may occasionally have special offerings that are more subtle and focused on enhancing the dining experience:
Seasonal Tasting Menus: Instead of discounts, the restaurant might feature limited-time seasonal tasting menus or Omakase experiences that highlight rare or exceptionally fresh ingredients available only for a short period. These are priced according to their exclusivity and the chef's artistry.
Special Event Pairings: For specific holidays or events, they might offer special sake or wine pairing dinners, where a multi-course sushi meal is expertly matched with premium beverages.
Exclusive Chef's Features: The sushi chefs might introduce daily or weekly specials based on the freshest catches, offering a unique opportunity to try something exceptional not regularly on the menu.
Loyalty Programs: While less common for independent high-end establishments, some may offer discreet loyalty programs for their most frequent and valued patrons, potentially involving priority reservations or exclusive access to new offerings.
To learn about any current or upcoming special offerings, the best approach is to directly contact the restaurant via phone, visit their official website if available, or check their social media channels, where such announcements are most likely to be made. Given the nature of a premium establishment, any "promotions" would likely be geared towards enhancing the exclusive experience rather than offering price reductions.

Sushi @ Temple Records Reviews
Ridiculously expensive ($18-20 for one nigiri)! Even Tokyo is cheaper than this for similar cuts. Service is very attentive, though a little over the top pretentious. Feel like being rushed out (and they're busy). Sushi chefs were a little cold...except one Asian gentleman. Overall wouldn't come back again as there's many other options with better prices and experience.
Apr 27, 2025 · Kenneth NgoI came in with high expectations after hearing so much about this place—it’s tough to find good sushi in Boston, and friends had recommended it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment. The service was excellent, and the quality of the ingredients, as well as the interior design, were all on point. There were two chefs working at the sushi counter, and it seemed we just happened to get the trainee for our entire meal. I noticed the same knife being used across different cuts of sashimi without being cleaned, which mixed the flavors. The chef also seemed nervous and lacked confidence—understandable for someone still in training, but not ideal for a high-end restaurant. That said, the snapper was excellent—fresh, well-prepared, and definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rolls were loosely packed, with the rice falling apart as soon as we picked them up. We ended up leaving early and trying another place instead.I’ll give it some time and maybe come back in a year or two—hopefully, the skills and consistency will have improved by then.
Feb 25, 2025 · Summer WangThis is based on Temple Records first omakase event. On 1/15/25The food was fantastic with a great fusion of Korean influences in flavors. For $120 there were about 14 times serving consisting of high quality nigiri , sashimi, banchan, owan ect.. and everything was high quality, fresh, and delicious. The value was incredible. The seating area itself was in the lower level of the main dining area , which was both spacious intimate at the same time. The sushi counter is hugeeee and can sit around 20 people. The ambiance was very lively. They were pumping out Korean jazz type music which was really fun. Only suggestion I would make to the restaurant is to lower the volume when explaining dishes in these kind of events. But ordinary this probably isn't an issue.Service is also super friendly and knowledgeableI will 100 percent be coming again for the regular menu if the experience is indictive of the quality and flavors they usually serve.
Jan 16, 2025 · Adam RasmussenThe sushi, atmosphere and service is excellent here. The pacing was just right, servers were available and friendly and I will dream about the sushi. My cousin did the ordering, but the tuna, bonito and sea urchin were particularly memorable. And the octopus!!! The decor is also lovely and we ordered cocktails from upstairs. Highly recommend.
Jul 11, 2024 · AKTThis is a fairly new cozy sushi place in Boston that jump to my #1 place experience. If you really appreciate the sushi and the delicate taste of raw fish and you can value the work and experience brought by this chef (Kenta ), you must visit this tiny place in downtown Boston. This is not your regular sushi place… you are not going to find the Philadelphia or California rolls…. This is real Japanese. The full food journey and delicate taste give you a full experience of those tiny Japanese places I visited many years ago in Tokyo. The service is great and very helpful to navigate across the menu. Please ask for help also for the drinks… you don’t want to drink red wine like I saw with raw fish!I hope this place will stay for long time in Boston … this is a place to go (NOT cheap, so please stop making bad comments about the price).
