After hearing great things about this Japanese restaurant, we decided to try it and were pleased to find that it deserves a solid 5-star rating! I highly recommend this restaurant!We chose the Taste of Umi, a chef's selection of raw or cooked fish served in a wooden box, along with the Sushi Duo (Kami Kaze and Kabuki Roll). Both dishes were fresh and delicious. I appreciated the serving of raw wasabi that accompanied the Taste of Umi wooden box; it was mild and not overly spicy, and it paired well with the house soy sauce. Their miso soup was among the best I’ve had in the DMV area, featuring a rich bonito broth combined with light miso. It was very satisfying, especially on a cold day. The staff provided friendly and attentive service, and the ambiance was inviting and clean.

Spent $80 on Uber Eats for four sushi rolls—easily the worst value I’ve ever experienced. The rolls were tiny, with just six mini pieces each, the ginger side container is even bigger than the pieces, and the taste didn’t even come close to justifying the price. You can get so much better sushi for the way less the cost at plenty of other places. Not sure why this place have so many good reviews..

A group of us decided to check this place out after hearing great reviews, and overall, we were pretty happy with the experience. The sushi was amazing, and the service was solid. I’d definitely recommend it! The only downside was that the portable table light was a bit dusty, which made me wonder about the overall cleanliness. Plus, the lighting was super dim, so it was hard to tell. Still, we had a good time!

Super friendly staff plus the best sushi I’ve had in YEARS!I got the lunch sushi trio with a rock & roll, crunch roll, and kami kaze roll, all of which were absolutely delicious! Tasted fresh and were way bigger than what I was anticipating (even had to take some home which is unusual for me since I can eat A LOT of sushi), which makes it well worth the price.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. Very tasty fresh fish, nice house cold sake, and very friendly folks. Got the Umi Roll and Double O-Toro Roll along with some salmon and mackerel sushi. Highly recommend coming here if you are looking for high quality sushi.
