The food is excellent in this restaurant. Very authentic and flavorful. However, your management needs to have a conversation with your waiter staff. The Asian waitresses are very inattentive. They do not check with the table, or to see if you need a refill. She brought me the check without asking us if we wanted dessert. Please don’t let bad service ruin your reputation.

Visiting from New York, which has a very high standard for sushi, I was impressed with the quality and quantity of the rolls. Just three special rolls was so much, I went home stuffed. The place is very popular, with indoor and outdoor seating. The sushi bar looks really popular. Overall, the scene is a happening location.

My friends and I had stopped here for dinner after coming back from the Renaissance Festival.We got seated right away for our large group and we got served our drinks. I ordered the chicken spring rolls which were delicious and had the Sushi Yama roll and the Honeymoon Roll. The Sushi Yama roll was the best one as it was wrapped in a crepe! It was an interesting combination.The service started off great but two of my friends didn’t get their food on time and they were getting upset. By the time their plate’s arrived I was already done with mine, and when we wanted to close out our waitress was nowhere to be found. We had to wait for some time for her to return.I’ll probably be ordering online and taking it to go instead of dining in.

Dear Sushi Yama Boca Raton Team,My family and I have been loyal customers of Sushi Yama for over 15 years. It has always been our go-to spot whenever we craved sushi, and we’ve created many wonderful memories there.However, I’m writing with a heavy heart as we’ve recently noticed a significant decline in both food quality and service. We’re unsure if there has been a change in ownership or management, but the difference is clear. We’ve observed staff changes, and unfortunately, the new team often appears disorganized and less welcoming than before.More concerning is the drop in the quality and flavor of the sushi itself. On our last two visits, the sushi lacked the fresh, flavorful taste we had come to love — it was noticeably bland. Additionally, the portion of sauces provided with our order was minimal, even though we paid extra for them (photos attached).It’s truly disappointing to see a place we held in such high regard change so drastically. While we will always appreciate the memories we’ve made at Sushi Yama, we now find ourselves searching for another sushi restaurant that meets the standard we once found here.
