Sushinaloa Introduce
In the vibrant culinary landscape of Redwood City, California, a distinctive restaurant called Sushinaloa stands out, offering a surprising and intriguing fusion of Japanese sushi and Mexican flavors. Located at 2505 Middlefield Rd, Redwood City, CA 94063, USA, Sushinaloa presents a unique dining experience that challenges preconceived notions and aims to delight the palate with its unconventional combinations. This establishment, while not a medical facility, is featured on platforms like "Doctor Near Me" due to its presence as a local business providing services and goods, much like a doctor's office provides medical care to its community. It highlights how these platforms serve as comprehensive directories for various local needs, extending beyond strictly medical services to encompass essential community resources like dining establishments.
Sushinaloa’s operational hours and further details can be obtained by contacting them directly at (650) 771-1620 or +1 650-771-1620. This accessibility ensures that potential diners can easily make reservations, inquire about the menu, or confirm current operating information before their visit. The restaurant's presence on a platform often associated with finding essential services like doctors underscores its role in the local economy and its availability as a community resource for dining options.
The concept of Sushinaloa itself is a daring culinary experiment. It takes two distinct and rich culinary traditions – the delicate art of sushi and the bold, vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine – and attempts to weave them into a harmonious whole. This fusion approach is what truly sets Sushinaloa apart from typical sushi bars or Mexican restaurants. It invites diners to step outside their comfort zones and explore new taste sensations, a concept that can be as invigorating as a fresh perspective from a trusted professional.
When considering the environment at Sushinaloa, the general impression is that of a local eatery, likely prioritizing a comfortable and accessible atmosphere over an overtly luxurious or thematic design. Given its unique culinary concept, the interior design may lean towards a functional yet welcoming space that allows the food to be the star. While specific details about the decor are not available, one can infer that it aims to create an environment where both sushi enthusiasts and Mexican food lovers feel at home. It’s the kind of place where locals might gather for a casual meal, a place that feels integrated into the fabric of the community, much like a local doctor's office.
Regarding services, Sushinaloa provides a dine-in experience for its patrons, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the fusion of flavors. In addition to in-person dining, it is highly probable that the restaurant offers takeout services, catering to those who prefer to enjoy their unique dishes in the comfort of their own homes. This convenience is crucial for many modern diners. The ability to call ahead and pick up an order suggests a commitment to customer service and adaptability. While specific delivery services aren't mentioned, it's also a common offering for restaurants in today's market. The service philosophy likely centers around providing a prompt and friendly experience, ensuring that the unique offerings are presented in a way that is inviting and accessible to all.
The features of Sushinaloa are primarily centered around its groundbreaking menu. The reviews highlight several key aspects. One customer, initially skeptical of the "sushi and Mexican food" combination, was pleasantly surprised, specifically praising the ceviche, soups, and drinks as exceptional. This suggests that while sushi is in the name, the Mexican-inspired dishes and beverages are significant drawcards and perhaps even the standout offerings. The mention of "the best ceviche" is a strong indicator of the quality and authenticity of their Mexican seafood preparations. The fact that the sushi is described as "not bad" implies it's a solid offering, even if the Mexican dishes seem to shine brighter for some patrons. This dual focus is a key feature, allowing the restaurant to appeal to a wider audience than a single-cuisine establishment. It's a culinary clinic, if you will, for those seeking something different.
However, an objective introduction requires acknowledging all feedback. One customer’s experience with the Camarones a la Diabla and Ondeado sushi provided a less favorable impression. While the sushi was deemed "decent," the issue of uncleaned shrimp in the Camarones a la Diabla was a significant concern, leading to a negative overall experience. This highlights the importance of consistency in food preparation and quality control in any restaurant. It is an area where improvement would undoubtedly enhance the dining experience for all patrons. Much like how a doctor ensures proper sanitation, a restaurant must prioritize food hygiene.
Despite this isolated critical review, the overall sentiment expressed by the first customer, who "ate their own words" after initially being skeptical, suggests that Sushinaloa has the potential to pleasantly surprise diners. This element of surprise and discovery is a significant feature in itself, making a visit to Sushinaloa an adventure for the taste buds.
Regarding promotional information, based solely on the provided text, there are no explicit current promotions, discounts, or special offers mentioned. However, the enthusiastic endorsement from one customer ("Please come in and try it you won’t regret it") acts as a powerful form of word-of-mouth promotion. Restaurants often leverage positive customer reviews on platforms like "Doctor Near Me" to attract new clientele. To further entice local users, Sushinaloa might consider implementing various promotional strategies, such as:
- First-time customer discounts: Offering a percentage off the total bill for new visitors.
- Lunch specials: Creating enticing and affordable lunch combos that highlight their unique fusion.
- Happy hour deals: Featuring discounts on their praised drinks and perhaps smaller plates of ceviche or sushi.
- Loyalty programs: Rewarding repeat customers with points or exclusive offers.
- Social media engagement: Actively promoting their unique dishes and positive reviews on platforms like Instagram and Facebook, potentially running contests or giveaways.
- Highlighting signature dishes: Creating promotions around their highly-rated ceviche or innovative sushi rolls to draw attention to their best offerings.
By effectively communicating its unique blend of flavors and addressing any potential concerns, Sushinaloa can continue to build a strong reputation within the Redwood City community. Its presence on a platform like "Doctor Near Me" serves as a testament to its integration into the local service ecosystem, making it a visible and accessible option for residents seeking a unique and flavorful dining experience. While you might not find a prescription for your ailments here, you'll certainly find a prescription for a memorable meal.

Sushinaloa Reviews
At first I thought this place was scetchy like sushi and Mexican food? Really? But I’m here eating my own words. This is place has the best ceviche, soups and drinks I have ever tasted. Please come in and try it you won’t regret it. Oh and the sushi is not bad.
May 15, 2025 · Regina WagnerI decided to try this place because of all the good reviews. I ordered the Camarones a la Diabla and the Ondeado sushi. I tried the sushi first and it was decent. Then I moved on to the Camarones a la Diabla, which came with only six shrimp, and unfortunately, they hadn’t been cleaned. That was incredibly unappetizing and honestly all I needed to see to throw away what ended up being a $40 meal.I really wanted to like this place, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Apr 19, 2025 · leslie gIt’s a fusion place for Japanese sushi and Mexican food. Despite the name “Sushi”, the menu inclined more to the Mexican cuisine. It’s a freestyle restaurant. Don’t expect to be seated. You just walk in, grab a vacant table and then wait for the waiter/waitress to come over.We tried their Campechana and Ceviche Mixto. Their food was delicious. The drink was also good. They also have a kid menu for little ones.

Feb 23, 2025 · EDITH barbosaThis restaurant SLAPS. It was the most sea food I have ever eaten, and I thought the sushi was going to be bad but it was unbelievably delicious.
