Tai Show Sushi Reviews
I've eaten at this location numerous times over the years. The sushi and appetizers are always good. My favorite part of the restaurant is that they have private booths with sliding doors. It's also the only sushi restaurant that I know on the island that is open pretty late on the weekends.
Jan 06, 2025 · Stephane BeraudI was so thrilled that this place is open until 1 a.m.; I came here after a long day on the beach.🦋 staff were very pleasant & sat us immediately.🦋great ambiance & atmosphere. Love the private seating area.🦋 Even though we were sitting in a private area, you could hear others very loudly ...🦋hot tea & mushroom soup was alright.🦋 okay, so whatever we ordered was edible.... but so beyond tasteless...There were so many things missing ... the food needed love...🦋dining here was pleasant, but the actual food wasn't. It felt empty.... the chef needs to work on the sushi pizza, crispy sushi rice, and the special rolls( because in other places, these are amazing... over here, I definitely don't recommend it.🦋from reading others' reviews, I guess go for the hibachi and chicken teriyaki... but I was in the mood for sushi... & it didn't fulfill my cravings...
Jul 06, 2024 · ZarinaExcellent service! Liked the seating in private rooms. Very cute ambiance. Food was wonderful. We would gladly come back! We loved the veggie gyoza and 3 color roll entree. Also so impressed with the Chicken Teryaki dish. Thank you Tai Show Sushi!

Mar 22, 2025 · Kay ElleI have been a customer at Tai Show in Massapequa for over 25 years. My family and I have been there literally hundreds of times for lunch, dinners, parties, etc. Angie (if you’ve been here, you know who she is) knows us by name and knocks back Saki-bombs with us at our table. We have enjoyed great times there. That’s over now, as we will not be going back. Not because of the food, while that has declined to well below average over the years. Not because of the Sushi chefs. Not because of the tired décor, the empty fish tank (???), or the ridiculous fake cherry trees out front. It’s because of the utter lack of service and attention and the downright shitty attitudes of the servers. The all-female wait staff huddle in the corner by the kitchen station chittering among themselves instead of focusing on guests. When one of them does come to the table; there is a team approach so you never know who is coming, their presence is almost uncomfortable with dour expression and body language saying they are doing you a favor. We were last there on a Wednesday evening and the place was nearly empty. We sat for entirely to long for drink orders to be taken and again for the drinks to arrive. Entrees took nearly 40 minutes more to arrive and were brought out one by one while other servers stood and watched, which took another 10+ minutes. My meal finally came out cold as those at the table served first were nearly finishing up. The exact same thing happened a few weeks ago when we were there. What a shame that after surviving Covid, (although with a smaller seating capacity with the rear dining room closed) they show abject disrespect to very long-time customers.
