Takamatsu Reviews
Really fantastic restaurant, great service staff and amazing food! The sushi is great quality, with large portions and the entire boat of 6 huge sashimi pieces was $15. The ramen was very flavourful and everything was cooked perfectly, their kimchi and yellow radish is also delicious. They also give you cold cinnamon tea at the end of your meal! The staff was very kind, and took their time explaining the basics to a few other customers who had never been to an Asian restaurant. Highly recommended.
Feb 03, 2025 · Kaitlyn TillmanI love this restaurant. The staff is so friendly and understanding. They made my 3 year old daughter training chopsticks, which were a huge hit. The restaurant is clean, large, nicely outfitted, and offers multiple types of dining experiences. There is a sushi bar with tons of variety and sushi chef you can see preparing the rolls. The korean BBQ area features huge booths with grills and strong ventilation machines above each table which are surprisingly quiet. Then, there is a regular dining area for everything else.I have never had a bad meal and consider the prices to be some of the beat in town for similar cuisine. The portion sizes are huge.I highly recommend this restaurant.
Feb 08, 2025 · Jenna BassI ordered to go. The reviews seemed good and ready through what sounded like would be a great place to try new things. Unfortunately was not the case. Food was not tasty at all. The sushi roll definitely was not fresh. It tasted like the fish was bad and had an odd color. Could not eat it. I have worked at an authentic sushi place to know what’s fresh and what is not. My chicken Katsu was also very bad. No flavor and tasted like freezer burn. I seriously could have made it better than this place but wanted to be cute and order out for the hubby and I to relax. Overall we couldn't eat half of our food which was very expensive. We paid $80+ for 2 people to only be able to eat half of it. The kimchi fried rice was decent. Over all will never eat there again. Not for that price and quality of food.
Apr 27, 2025 · Denise PeachJoanne and I have enjoyed very good Korean food here a number of times. Very delicious. Since we're not familiar with Korean cuisine the assistance from the kind and helpful server (Evelyn) was really appreciated.Last night we tried the sushi bar for the first time and the experience was excellent! The fish was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Sushi chef Omar was very skilled and helpful. We appreciate his introducing us to selections new to us.Takamatsu is now our "go-to" place for Korean and sushi dining!
Feb 08, 2025 · Jerry KryszekIt is the second time we visited Takamatsu, specifically for the Korean BBQ. It is great fun to prepare your meal together plus the evening naturally is longer than the usual sit down meal. The ingredients are delicious and the variety of side dishes is always nice. The sushi here also looks great but I have never tried it. Our waitress was super helpful and we will definitely be back
