Feb 12, 2025 · Ashley CarswellBy far the best omakase I’ve been to (and I’ve been to ones in DC, NYC, etc…)It’s not as publicly featured so you’ll have to make reservations and ask. But the price for the 14 pieces + 2 appetizers we got were amazing!!! The chef was so kind and sweet. The waitresses were attentive and explained every piece.I 100% will be back!!!Our RAW favorites: scallop, Suzuki, fatty tuna (MELTS in your mouth), and the braziniOur COOKED favorites: mackerel, Suzuki with spicy mayo. The calamari pasta with uni and quail egg was unique and would get again!!Paired it with a Seven Spearsmen sake and it was honestly the best anniversary dinner my partner planned for our 6 year!
May 14, 2025 · JenniferSmall, intimate sushi locale with great service, excellent selection of fresh fish, and basic rolls focused on the quality of the ingredients. The wine, beer, and sake selections are broader than most sushi places, but with a focus on variety and quality. Truly one of the gems of the DMV! Anytime I am craving excellent, unique sashimi and nigiri, I will drive an hour for Takumi… it’s worth it.
Dec 29, 2024 · K CheesmanThis sweet, tiny and warm restaurant is our favorite Japanese one near our neighborhood. We love everything in their menu as we know most of them from our numerous visits. I recommend to reserve your table before you go especially for rush hours because it is very small place and always crowded. But it is worth to it.
