Tanpopo Ramen and Sake Bar Reviews
This was my first time having real ramen, which is a lot like pho, and I really liked it. The crab rangoons crush the kind you get at a typical Chinese restaurant. The pork belly buns are unique and super tasty. The place is located in an old school diner, which is cool. I will say that the bathroom unintentionally mimics something you’d find in one of those tiny Japanese apartments, which I guess adds to the experience.
Feb 15, 2025 · PJBOutstanding Ramen food. Service was great and they have some unique sake drinks. The pork belly buns are amazing!
Apr 09, 2025 · Bob BFood was good. Very spicy but not over baring. Nice portions. Dumplings tasted normal how they were suppose to taste. Nice sized dumplings too. We ordered Hot Green Tea that came out warm. Very tite space inside. When we sat down we felt a draft of cold air. Other than the cold air we felt 7/10. Definitely would try again when it’s not cold out.
Nov 24, 2024 · MeMe HankinsIt was my first time. It was good food, the waitress was friendly, and the atmosphere was good even inside may be small but the sitting with the table was fine for me. It’s cool to see many $1 bill on the wall everywhere.
Feb 20, 2025 · Stephanie PeñaThis place rocks. The food is on point but the service is what makes it shine. I sat at the bar with a friend. Alex was working and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect experience. We ended up staying longer than anticipated and enjoyed another round because she and Becky were so great. They had all the answers to our endless questions about the menu. Even on a bustling night at the restaurant, both girls handled it with ease and we never found ourselves waiting on food, beers or the check. Happy this establishment is thriving- I even saw them accommodate an 8 top when it looked like the restaurant was already full. I was wrong! The space is lovely and historic. The whole crew does a lot with a little and the result is excellent. Especially during a time when many establishments complain about a lack of competent workers, the fact that Alex and Becky were so great was especially noteworthy. Whatever Tan Po Po is doing, from hiring to their kitchen output, they’re doing it right and we’re lucky to have them here in our neighborhood!
