Temaki Den Reviews
Our server was fantastic. I wish I remembered his name to give him a proper shout out! Staff went above and beyond to ensure our dietary needs of gluten free were met. We loved the sake flights. They take time to discuss the sake flight with you while also offering a paper with information. And they do have hot sake it’s just not listed on the menu! We tried many hand rolls, but none of them blew me away except for the wagyu sukiyaki hand roll (which is not gluten free due to the use of soy sauce in the marinade). They put fried shallots in most of the hand rolls which I don’t prefer and think it would be helpful for this to be listed on the menu. I’d recommend the blue cheese bluefin akami nigiri; it’s delicious and not something you find elsewhere. It’s RiNo, so parking sucks. Either pay or take time to find a free parking spot on a side street.
May 04, 2025 · Isabella Perez (Bella)The salmon oshizushi was veryyyy good. Highly recommend. The serve was good. The house sale was really good as well. Recommend coming during happy hour. If you park at the hotel the first hour is free after that it’s $8 and they don’t validate.
May 28, 2025 · SarahTemaki Den offers a fresh take on the traditional Omakase experience. Unlike the structured, multi-course format found in many high-end sushi restaurants, Temaki Den follows a more flexible approach—each plate is selected by the chef, but diners are charged per dish rather than a set price. This allows for a more personalized dining experience, giving guests the freedom to explore a variety of flavors at their own pace. The quality of the sushi is impressive, with many standout dishes showcasing the freshness and precision expected from a top-tier Japanese establishment. While most selections were well-executed, I found that choosing your favorite sushi is the best way to enjoy the meal. Some of the side dishes and the Spam sushi weren’t quite to my taste and unexpected, but the overall experience remained enjoyable. For those who appreciate sushi but prefer a more flexible Omakase experience, Temaki Den is worth a visit. Let the chef guide your meal, but don’t hesitate to tailor it to your preferences for the best experience.
Feb 16, 2025 · Anthony LamIf you’re looking for a Traditional Japanese Sushi restaurant, this is absolutely your spot. My husband and I have been here several times and it has never disappointed us. Tonight, we were able to chat with Kenta, the co-owner, and he is a really awesome dude with so much love/knowledge for traditional Japanese sushi and takes deep pride in his restaurant. (I certainly understand why.)I just truly cannot recommend this place anymore. It is hands down the best sushi spot in Colorado!!!
Jan 12, 2025 · Alyce PecotI absolutely love this place! The food is phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and consistently high quality. The salmon oshizushi in particular is a standout—it’s coined “Denver’s best bite” for a reason!Just a heads-up: their “omakase” isn’t like a traditional omakase. It’s more of a personalized tasting, where the server selects dishes based on your preferences. But you still pay à la carte prices in the end. Because of that, I personally prefer ordering à la carte myself to make sure I get exactly what I want. Also worth noting—the restaurant is located in the middle of The Source Hotel lobby, so the atmosphere isn’t super intimate. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning a first date. That said, the food is an easy 10/10, and it’s a regular in our date night rotation!
