Ten Ramen

3324 W 6th St ste a, Los Angeles, CA 90020, USA

3.0
The TONKOTSU Ramen is just all right. The broth is thick while the noodles are at the right hardness. The two pork belly slices seem to be oily but the grilled pork is in good taste. What I would say is the environment, especially what in the restroom, is too awful with many flies . Even feel nausea for the previous dinning. Terrible for that!!! - Scott Lee

Ten Ramen is strategically located at 3324 W 6th St ste a, Los Angeles, CA 90020, USA. This places the restaurant firmly within the vibrant and highly accessible Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, an area renowned for its diverse culinary scene and constant activity.

Situated on West 6th Street, a prominent thoroughfare, Ten Ramen benefits from excellent visibility and general ease of access for local residents. As is typical with popular urban areas like Koreatown, street parking can sometimes be challenging during peak hours, often requiring patrons to seek out metered spots or utilize nearby paid parking lots and structures. For those opting for public transportation, W 6th Street is well-served by numerous bus routes, making it a convenient destination without the need for a personal vehicle. Additionally, the central location within Koreatown ensures easy access via ride-sharing services. This prime spot makes Ten Ramen a readily accessible option for Angelenos looking to satisfy their ramen cravings.

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the provided customer reviews and publicly available information, specific, regularly advertised promotions or special offers for Ten Ramen are not explicitly detailed. The core appeal of Ten Ramen appears to lie in its focused menu, particularly its Tonkotsu ramen with a thick broth, customizable spice levels, and praised ramen eggs.

Ramen restaurants, especially those known for a particular style, often rely on the consistent quality and flavor of their signature dishes to attract and retain customers rather than frequent, broad promotions. For the most current information on any potential offers or new menu items, it is always recommended for interested patrons to inquire directly with Ten Ramen in person or via phone, or to check their online presence (such as their DoorDash or other delivery platform menus) as these can sometimes list specific deals. Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For Californians, especially those residing in or frequently venturing into Los Angeles' vibrant Koreatown, Ten Ramen offers a compelling and specific ramen experience that makes it a suitable choice for locals seeking a particular kind of noodle fix. While some aspects may warrant consideration, its strengths align well with the preferences of a discerning local ramen enthusiast.

Firstly, the focus on Tonkotsu ramen with a thick broth and perfectly hard noodles is a significant draw. For many ramen aficionados, the richness and depth of a well-executed Tonkotsu broth are paramount, and Ten Ramen delivers on this front. The attention to noodle texture is also a hallmark of quality ramen, ensuring a satisfying bite with every slurp. This specialization means locals know exactly what kind of ramen they're getting and can rely on a hearty, flavorful foundation for their meal.

Secondly, the exceptionally good ramen egg and flavorful grilled pork are standout features that elevate the overall bowl. Often, these seemingly minor components can make a huge difference in a ramen experience, and Ten Ramen's ability to exceed expectations here makes it memorable. For locals who appreciate these finer details, it adds significant value to their dining choice.

The unique approach to spicy levels, equating them to "Mexican spicy levels," is a clear advantage for those who truly enjoy a robust kick. In a city like Los Angeles with a diverse culinary palate, this honest and direct communication about heat levels allows spicy food lovers to tailor their ramen precisely to their preference, avoiding disappointment and ensuring a genuinely fiery experience if desired. This caters directly to a segment of the local population that actively seeks out bold flavors.

Its Koreatown location is also a practical benefit. Situated on 6th Street, it's easily accessible for many, making it a convenient option for a spontaneous lunch or dinner. While the interior might be described as "dark," it's noted as "clean," suggesting a functional and no-frills environment where the focus remains on the food itself, which can be appealing to those seeking an unpretentious meal.

While some past concerns about the restroom environment and takeout order organization are noted, for locals primarily focused on a quality dine-in ramen experience, particularly the Tonkotsu and its spicy variations, Ten Ramen offers distinct strengths. It provides a niche but deeply satisfying option for those who know what they're looking for in a bowl of ramen in Los Angeles.
