The core feature of Tengu Sushi is its commitment to freshness and quality, particularly evident in its sushi offerings. While it is a conveyor belt sushi spot, many reviews note that the quality is "above average" compared to other similar casual sushi restaurants. The restaurant also distinguishes itself by offering cuts that are not commonly found at other casual sushi establishments, such as chu-toro and uni, though availability of these premium items may vary.

Tengu Sushi Japanese Restaurant Reviews
I’ve been tried a lot of Japanese restaurant in Seattle area, The sushi place definitely is outstanding! The fish is fresh, beautifully presented, and thickly sliced. A truly premium Japanese dining experience. They also have wonderful desert! My kids love it. Parking is convenient! It’s a great place to bring kids and enjoy as a family.
Dec 31, 2024 · J RTo be very honest, I wasn't expecting much from a conveyor belt sushi spot. But the quality was above average for other similar conveyor/casual sushi spots. I love the cuts they offer here that many casual spots don't, such as chu-toro, uni (both i didn't get to try, they didn't have any) , etcGreat attentive service and great spot for a decent above average casual sushi. I go for traditional pieces.Really enjoyed the taste, everything was clean tasting, not fishy at all.Highlights:Hotate (scallop)OshinkoNegi HamaIkuraSalmon BellyThe amaebi was a little unclean tasting and the head was not as crispy as I usually get at other places and not seasoned. But it was okay.Overall I would come again, wish we had something similar in Seattle or district area
Feb 22, 2025 · Philicia SaephanThe reason I like going to these restaurants is to be able to get to choose several half plates from the whole menu to get to solo dine with minimal interaction. The last couple times I have been incredibly disappointed from the quality and quantity of the rotating selections that are available without the need to order off the menu. The plates offered are basic and there is a limited selection of their special rolls. What is available seems over priced. 6 dollars for three thinly cut pieces of a shrimp tempura roll was the most exciting option I felt available to me. I had 4 plates and left hungry. There is another similar sushi restaurant in Bothell that is a 5 star experience and it is a shame that I have to drive farther to feel like I'm getting a worthy experience when this restaurant is just around the corner and has the potential to be great.
May 20, 2025 · Chelsea MillerMediocre and overpriced, very underwhelming selection. Great place to spend $50+ per person and not have a single plate that brings me back. For reference, I was a regular at conveyor belt sushi overseas, but any 2.5 star place there impressed me more. There are several things they could do to improve the experience. Order specific speed belts and mounted tablet ordering, adding games or robots and such would improve the atmosphere for added novelty. There isn’t enough options and the price is what it is, it’s Seattle after all. The city health score also leaves much to be desired given the nature of sushi.
Apr 12, 2025 · Tj FryerFantastic conveyor belt sushi! The taste and quality were great (honestly surprisingly good for conveyor belt), service was nice and prices were reasonable. Will be back!
