Teriyaki Bowl Reviews
02/04/2025 (Tue)It had been years since our last visit, but we noticed that the walls now have a stylish design, and the menu has been revamped, making it easier to navigate. Hawaiian music was playing, giving the place more of a Hawaiian vibe rather than a typical teriyaki spot.We ordered #22 Udon with Tempura Shrimp ($15.25), #15 Curry Chicken ($10.95), and #S8 Egg Roll ($3.75). The curry wasn鈥檛 like a typical Japanese curry rice鈥攊t lacked the strong curry flavor. While it was tasty as a dish on its own, it might not satisfy someone craving curry. The udon had a soy sauce-based broth, which I liked, but the soup was quite salty. The staff was friendly and pleasant woman, which made the experience even better. Overall, we had a good impression of the place. The only downside was that the complimentary water had an unpleasant taste, which was a bit disappointing.02/05/2025 (Wed)The next day, we wanted to try more dishes, so we ordered #16 Shrimp Fried Rice ($15.50), #S5 Teriyaki Chicken, and #S7 Steamed Potstickers (10 pieces, $10.75).The shrimp fried rice was packed with large shrimp, making it very satisfying. The teriyaki chicken had a nice charred flavor, similar to Hawaiian huli-huli chicken鈥攊t was delicious! As for the potstickers, many teriyaki places only serve fried dumplings, so I was happy to find steamed ones here.馃い02/11/2025 (Tue)#1. Teriyaki Chicken Yakisoba ($12.99)#14. Apr 17, 2025 路 YulilyFor the love of all that is right and sacred when it comes to your intestines, stay AWAY from this place. I ordered food to go, got home, opened the container, and right away it looked like something was off. In the spirit of giving it a chance, I decided to take a bite of chicken. I ordered the hot and spicy chicken. It was cold and raw on the inside still. The rest of the chicken was like that, too, and tasted like it was a tad freezer burnt and had been thawed in a microwave (if you know, you know). A couple hours later? Stomach turned sour as my Great-Aunt Imelda when her bunions were burnin'. Let me tell you, I grew up a stone's throw away from Tijuana, and grew up eating some shady lookin' street food down there, and in South San Diego, and never... NEVER encountered something like this. Show your body a little bit of preventive love, and just stay away from this restaurant.
May 23, 2025 路 Michael MonroeBeen a while since I visited, great customer service, food was prepared relatively quick.Good portion, spent time in Asia, so I鈥檓 used to smaller servings. Very good overall. It was warm inside, but it also was a warm day.Good location via hwy 26 & 185th.
Apr 21, 2024 路 Taurino VirgenI ordered take-out for lunch through doordash. What attracted me to this restaurant was the buy one get one free promotion. I got the teriyaki chicken plate (and a free plate) and the beef and tempura bento.I loved their tempura, but the beef wasn't actually beef. It was pork. Kinda disappointed at that, but... the pork teriyaki wasn't bad. Overall, their food was tasty. Not the best I've had.
Apr 30, 2023 路 Shontell ForrestMy friend took me here on a Friday morning and I wasn鈥檛 expecting much but he hyped it up so much that I was excited to try it out.Food:We both got the N special which was teriyaki and yakisoba and wow was it special! The sauce wasn鈥檛 overwhelming but it had such a subtle taste that I really wanted more. The portions are big for the large size and are definitely enough to satisfy.Service: You order at a counter and then your order comes out in like 10 minutes or so! It鈥檚 a casual place and a hole in the wall but the food is super good and it鈥檚 a hidden gem for sure!Would recommend coming here for sure if you鈥檙e stopping by Portland!
