Teriyaki Plus

4001 Airport Wy S, Seattle, WA 98108, USA

4.0
After over 20 years of being a loyal customer, I’ve decided I won’t be returning to this establishment unless I hear directly from the owner. I’ve always praised their spicy teriyaki sauce as the absolute best, but the consistently poor customer service has finally made this place unbearable for me.Every visit seems to be met with cold, dismissive attitudes that make me feel unwelcome. On this particular visit, I was immediately told they were closing soon and could only take to-go orders, as if to deter me from staying. When I placed my order, I was met with resistance for simply trying to pay via tap (a standard payment method), and only then was the tap device reluctantly pulled out. What upset me most was how my food was handled: the customer before me had their order personally brought to their table, but when my food was ready, it was left on a table near the counter with a curt announcement of “order ready,” even though I was seated further away.Sadly, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced such treatment here, and it feels targeted. I hate to assume the worst, but the energy and attitude I encounter every time I visit this place are disheartening. It’s a shame because I genuinely love the food, but I can no longer support a business that treats me—and potentially others—this way. There are other reviews that’s support this experience. - G Prez

Teriyaki Plus Introduce

For individuals in Seattle seeking local dining options, especially within the vicinity of Airport Way S, and utilizing platforms such as "Doctor Near Me" to discover services, **Teriyaki Plus**, located at **4001 Airport Wy S, Seattle, WA 98108, USA**, presents a complex case. While the establishment has, for decades, cultivated a reputation for its food quality, particularly its highly praised spicy teriyaki sauce, it is also associated with consistent and significant concerns regarding customer service. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview, detailing the perceived environment, the reported service interactions, the noted culinary features, and any implied promotional aspects, all based on customer feedback.

The **environment** at Teriyaki Plus, as perceived by customers, is heavily influenced by the nature of the service received. While no explicit descriptions of the physical decor or ambiance are provided, the recurring theme of "cold, dismissive attitudes" and feeling "unwelcome" directly impacts the experienced environment. One review describes being told they were "closing soon and could only take to-go orders, as if to deter me from staying," which immediately creates a less-than-inviting atmosphere for dine-in patrons. The operational style, where food might be announced and left on a table rather than personally delivered to a seated customer, further contributes to a hands-off and potentially unwelcoming environment. Despite potentially being a quick and efficient spot, the perceived lack of warmth or attentive service can overshadow any physical attributes of the establishment. The repeated negative service experiences suggest that for some customers, the environment is defined more by human interaction than by physical space, making it feel "unbearable."

The **service** at Teriyaki Plus is a recurring point of contention and concern for patrons. Multiple reviews highlight consistent issues, with terms such as "consistently poor customer service," "cold, dismissive attitudes," and a "front desk woman is very rude." Specific examples include resistance to standard payment methods like tap-to-pay, food being announced curtly and left at a counter rather than brought to the table, and a general impression of being rushed or unwelcome. The sentiment of feeling "targeted" and encountering "disheartening" energy and attitude every visit is a severe critique, suggesting a systemic issue rather than isolated incidents. The lack of proactive engagement, such as "no one asked if the food was ok," further underscores a service model that appears to prioritize efficiency over customer care and satisfaction. This aspect of service seems to be a significant barrier for even long-standing loyal customers, leading to decisions of non-return despite appreciation for the food. This feedback suggests a critical disconnect in the customer service experience at Teriyaki Plus.

Despite the noted service challenges, the culinary **features** of Teriyaki Plus consistently receive high praise from loyal customers. The **spicy teriyaki sauce** is repeatedly singled out as "the absolute best," indicating a unique and highly desirable flavor profile that has captivated patrons for over two decades. This sauce appears to be a signature item, a key differentiator that draws and retains customers despite other issues. While the reviews primarily focus on this sauce, the general term "teriyaki" implies a menu centered around grilled meats (likely chicken, beef, or tofu) served with this signature sauce and traditional accompaniments like rice. One negative review, however, mentioned receiving "some veggies pretty much letters for $18" with a to-go order and finding the "fried chicken was dry and not much flavor" at a different restaurant with similar name, which highlights the importance of consistency in dish preparation and portioning, although this specific review seems to be confused with another restaurant of similar type. The primary praise, however, remains fixed on the excellence of the teriyaki sauce. The enduring appeal of this specific dish suggests that when the food itself is delivered as expected, it meets a high standard for its genre, capable of creating long-term loyalty based on taste alone.

In terms of **promotional information**, Teriyaki Plus's most significant "promotion" has historically been its highly regarded spicy teriyaki sauce and its long-standing presence in the community, fostering decades of customer loyalty. However, the recurring negative feedback regarding customer service, explicitly mentioned by customers as a reason for ceasing their patronage, significantly impacts any implicit promotional value. While contact information, phone: (206) 624-4890 and mobile: +1 206-624-4890, is available for inquiries, the online sentiment suggests that potential customers may need to weigh the acclaimed food quality against the reported service issues. The very public nature of these customer experiences, with mentions of "other reviews that support this experience," means that this feedback acts as a strong, albeit negative, form of promotion for new potential diners. A business of this nature typically relies on word-of-mouth and consistent quality, but persistent service complaints can undermine even the best food. Therefore, while the sauce itself might be a powerful draw, the overall dining experience, as reported by patrons, presents a cautionary note for those seeking a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. For individuals using a "Doctor Near Me" platform to discover local businesses, the information available about Teriyaki Plus presents a clear picture of a place with highly acclaimed food, but also significant customer service challenges that new patrons should be aware of before visiting.
