Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea Introduce
For residents and visitors of Wesley Chapel, Florida, a new culinary destination has arrived in the form of **Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea**, located at 2000 Piazza Ave #150, Wesley Chapel, FL 33543, USA. Positioned strategically within The Shops at Wiregrass, between popular eateries Grillsmith and Cantina Laredo, Token Ramen offers a blend of authentic ramen and refreshing Kung Fu Tea beverages. While not a medical facility, in the context of a 'Doctor Near Me' search, this establishment offers a delightful "cure" for your hunger and thirst, providing a comforting and flavorful experience. You can reach them at (813) 501-8953 or +1 813-501-8953.
Upon visiting Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea, patrons will immediately notice its modern and inviting **environment**. The interior is described as "nicely decorated," offering a pleasant aesthetic for diners. There is an "ample amount of seating on the inside," accommodating a good number of customers comfortably. For those who prefer al fresco dining, "they have four tables on the patio for outside dining," providing an airy option, especially on pleasant Florida days. While one reviewer felt the restaurant "felt underwhelming" for a growing mini-chain and suggested more could be done with the atmosphere, the consensus leans towards a generally agreeable and functional space. It operates as a "self-serve restaurant much like Chipotle," where you "order at front and wait for food." This casual, efficient model caters to those seeking a quick yet satisfying meal in a clean and accessible setting within a bustling shopping center. However, potential visitors should be prepared for the "mall parking" challenge, as finding a spot might require some effort and driving around.
The **services** at Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea operate on a self-serve model, where customers place their orders at the front counter. While this might lead to some ambiguity regarding tipping expectations, as noted by one reviewer who was "shocked to see the default for tips was 18-25%" for a self-serve format, the actual staff interactions are largely positive. The "service is super nice and friendly," even when faced with new opening challenges. The "two girls at the front making the bobas were very consistent and well versed in their orders," demonstrating skill and attention to detail in drink preparation. This consistency in fulfilling specific drink customization, like "no milk, no ice, boba, and 100% sugar" or "no ice, boba, 30% sugar," is highly appreciated by customers who value precision in their orders. During the initial opening phase, customers were informed that food would take "about 40min wait," and the staff was "very apologetic about the delay," indicating a commitment to transparency and managing expectations. Despite the early operational challenges, the friendly demeanor of the staff contributes positively to the overall experience, making diners feel welcomed and understood.
Now, let's explore the distinctive culinary **features** that define Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea's menu. The restaurant primarily focuses on authentic ramen and a wide selection of Kung Fu Tea beverages, including bubble tea. For ramen, the "Tonkotsu and Spicy Tonkotsu" are staples. The "Mega Pork Ramen" received high praise, with its "broth is super milky" and the ability to "taste the different flavors of the pork chashu slices from the Pulled Pork Chashu and the Mega Pork Chashu." The "eggs are perfectly seasoned as well," indicating attention to detail in all components of the dish. The "Black Garlic Ramen" is noted for its strong garlicky aroma and appearance, although one reviewer hoped for a more intense black garlic flavor. Despite this high expectation, it was still considered "still good overall." Generally, the ramen is described as "average +" or "really good even with just take out instead of dine in," suggesting consistent quality regardless of dining format.
Beyond ramen, the menu includes popular Japanese appetizers such as "Ninja Chicken Nuggets" and "Takoyaki," offering savory complements to the main dishes. The beverage selection, powered by Kung Fu Tea, is a significant draw. Options like "Honey Oolong Tea with Boba" and "Passionfruit Green Tea with Boba" are made "perfectly just we ordered," highlighting the customization options and the skill of the "bobaristas." The quick turnaround for drinks, "within 5-8 minutes max," is a definite plus. The overall consistency of the food and drinks with other Token Ramen locations is a comforting feature for those familiar with the brand, ensuring a reliable experience.
As for **promotional information**, Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea leverages its prime location within The Shops at Wiregrass, ensuring high visibility. The excitement around its recent opening ("opened two days ago") generates initial buzz and curiosity. The direct comparisons to other Token Ramen locations and positive statements like "Overall the food is really good" and "We are super glad that this place opened up" serve as strong organic promotions. The consistent quality of their boba drinks, especially their ability to perfectly execute custom orders, is a significant draw, particularly for boba tea enthusiasts, with one reviewer expressing appreciation that "not every place gets our order correctly." The offer of flavorful ramen, quick boba, and a "nicely decorated" space appeals to a wide demographic. While initial delays in food preparation were noted due to being "very overwhelmed in the kitchen," the staff's apologetic and friendly demeanor helps mitigate negative impressions, showing a commitment to customer satisfaction even during busy periods. The convenience of having boba "within 5 min from our house" is a strong local draw. The commitment to returning "in a few weeks when they have adjusted to their routines" indicates a forgiving customer base willing to support a new establishment through its initial growing pains, further reinforcing its potential for long-term success. The option to order ahead (if the phones are picked up) hints at future convenience as well.
In conclusion, Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea is a promising new addition to the Wesley Chapel culinary scene, offering a flavorful array of ramen and a consistent selection of customizable Kung Fu Tea beverages. Despite its self-serve model and initial opening adjustments, the restaurant boasts a nicely decorated interior with ample seating and a friendly staff. Its core features, such as the rich "Mega Pork Ramen" broth, perfectly seasoned eggs, and expertly crafted boba drinks, make it a solid choice for those craving authentic Asian flavors. While navigating mall parking might be a small hurdle, the overall quality of food and drinks, combined with the potential for quicker service once operations stabilize, positions Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea as a reliable and welcomed "Doctor Near Me" for your next Japanese food and boba fix in Wesley Chapel.

Token Ramen & Kung Fu Tea Reviews
Overall take: disappointed.I was excited to go here after reading the reviews online. The ramen was average +. It is a self serve restaurant much like Chipotle (order at front and wait for food) and shocked to see the default for tips was 18-25%. Don’t mind tipping but not sure what I’m tipping for, I tip this amount for my full 1+ hour service meal at Coopers Hawk, not Token.Restaurant felt underwhelming. For a mini chain that is growing, they could do a better job with the atmosphere.Ordered the Tonkotsu and Spicy Tonkotsu. If you’re in the area and are craving ramen, this is an ok establishment. If you are thinking about coming out of your way to eat here….PASS, go somewhere else.
Dec 06, 2024 · Jeffrey WayneToken Ramen & Tea (Kung Fu Tea) opened two days ago at The Shops at Wiregrass! They are located right in the main entrance between Grillsmith and Cantina Laredo. The interior is nicely decorated with ample amount of seating on the inside and they have four tables on the patio for outside dining. We got our food to go:- Ninja Chicken Nuggets- Takoyaki- Black Garlic Ramen- Mega Pork Ramen- Honey Oolong Tea with Boba- Passionfruit Green Tea with BobaOverall the food is really good even with just take out instead of dine in. We are glad that their food and drinks are consistent with other Token Ramen locations! The Mega Pork Ramen was really good: the broth is super milky but a tiny bit salty in my opinion. However, you can taste the different flavors of the pork chashu slices from the Pulled Pork Chashu and the Mega Pork Chashu. The eggs are perfectly seasoned as well. The broth in the Black Garlic Ramen is definitely smells garlicky and looks on point, but I expected more of the black garlic taste in the ramen. It is still good overall but I had high expectations lolI’m going to get a little technical with drinks because I have a family member who works at KFT in SoFlo:The drinks are made perfectly just we ordered:- Honey Oolong Tea with no milk, no ice, boba, and 100% sugar- Passionfruit Green Tea with no ice, boba, 30% sugar (less sweet)The two girls at the front making the bobas were very consistent and well versed in their orders: they poured all of the drinks over ice first before capping them off. Overall I am super appreciative of the bobaristas because not every place gets our order correctly and usually leaves something out. Here are a couple of tips to keep in mind before you visit:- You will need to fight the mall parking because they are inside wiregrass. So be prepared to drive around to find parking!- They just opened two days ago (on Friday) so they are very overwhelmed in the kitchen so BE PREPARED to wait for your food! The drinks are not an issue and come out within 5-8 minutes max, but the food took over 40 min for it to come out. You will need to order first before you can sit down at a table so the cashier will tell you that the food will take about 40min wait. The service is super nice and friendly and they are very apologetic about the delay.- You might be able to order ahead (if you are lucky) because they are super busy and sometimes they don’t pick up the phones. We tried calling them a few times and we decided to just head over there and order in person instead.Overall we are super glad that this place opened up and now we get our boba within 5 min from our house! We will definitely return again for the food in a few weeks when they have adjusted to their routines.
Apr 18, 2021 · Ruosi LeeMy first time here and it was amazing!! Julie took our order and I believe Cindy the manager came over and checked in on us!! We had the calamari and tonkustsu noodles and Beef rice bowl!! Everything was yummy!! My daughter loved her olong tea and loved it!!! Looking forward to my next visit
Jan 05, 2022 · Bill CuebasFantastic ramen and gyoza. We ordered the tonkotsu with the spicy sauce on the side. Both normal and spicy were very delicious. My husband says it’s better spicy! Although the prices are the same for both tonkotsu and spicy tonkotsu, if you order it the way we did, you will pay an extra $1.50 for the spicy sauce. We also ordered the coffee milk tea boba and it was good as well. Came here on a Saturday and it was so busy at 1pm! Definitely recommend.
May 18, 2024 · VKFirst time here and didn’t disappoint. The drinks were rich in flavor and the boba tasted fresh. Also, I tried the chicken salt and pepper which was cooked crunchy on the outside and juicy in the middle the sweet sauce on the side gave it a nice contrast. Overall friendly customer service.
