So today is Friday, April 11 I walked into Tokyo house at 9:11pm and got my food at 9:19pm I’m not mad about the wait but about the service I received. I walked into Tokyo house and yea they were doing they’re closing tasks that’s cool but about the man wearing the Astros cap. He had told me “try to come in a little earlier because we close in 3 minutes” mind you this is at 9:11pm and everywhere I look it says they close at 9:30. Some math ain’t mathin

Orange chicken was delicious. Big chunks of chicken breast with crispy breading. Included generous serving of perfectly cooked Japanese rice. Fried rice with jumbo shrimp was delicious. Lots of jumbo shrimp, too. Gyoza were so tasty. Not sure why people are posting negative reviews. Everything tasted great and servings were generous. Will order from Tokyo House again next time we return to Tempe!❤️❤️❤️

Only posting because I’m a disappointment pregnant lady. I used to get Tokyo house at least once a month when I worked over in the area. It’s been a minute since I last ordered from here. One of my cravings this pregnancy has been their house fried rice. IT’S NOT THE SAME AS IT WAS !The shrimp used to be breaded, the rice was sticky but good and golden brown. Now it’s just dark , soy sauce and shrimp has no flavor nor is it breaded. Disappointing is all I can say. I should’ve read the reviews since most of them say the same thing. New owners should’ve stuck with the old recipes. Should’ve gone to Mandarin House instead… smh

I ordered off of Uber eats because they had a good deal & I was looking for a quick bite. Then while I was waiting for my order I checked out the google reviews and instantly got worried. Food got here and it was fine. Is it the best orange chicken I’ve had? Absolutely not but it’s what I would expect for a $9 bowl of orange chicken & rice. The spice level is actually pretty nice not going to lie. The sushi is mid but again I didn’t have high expectations. I paid for extra soy sauce and didn’t get any soy sauce or the utensils I requested. Not the worst food I’ve had but could be better.

Have been a loyal customer of Tokyo house for years. Lately the food quality and service has really gone downhill. Have been sweeping simple mistakes under the rug, thinking they are just busy. At this point it is more than simple mistakes happening with every order.
