Tomo Ramen and Izakaya Reviews
We were surprised to find this place empty on a Friday evening, especially considering how delicious the food was. We ordered the Sake flight, a Gokyo sake bottle, Tonkotsu ramen, chicken Donburi, chicken Nest Ramen, Gyoza, and Edamame. Every dish came in generous portions—a rare treat these days—and we all left with leftovers. The ingredients were high quality, and each broth was rich and flavorful. We did add extra chili oil for a spicier kick, though that’s likely just our personal preference. The restaurant had a calm, inviting atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The only downside was that my Tonkotsu had a bit less pork belly than expected. Still, it was a great experience overall. Definitely planning to come back.
May 24, 2025 · Surabhi Anuragso delicious! one of the food carts nearby that we wanted to go to was closed so we have this place a try. so glad we did! the service was wonderful, all the ladies were so sweet to us. prices were amazing for the huge portion sizes. food was absolutely delicious with beautiful presentations. we will most definitely be back!
Feb 13, 2025 · Emma AxelsonMust visit! Best ramen place by far. Soyu chicken broth has more chicken flavor than the creamer Classic chicken broth. Bowls were huge and more than I could eat. So much meat! 3 pieces of chicken breast, a whole chicken thigh and drumstick grilled to perfection! Prices range from 17 to 21, however, Easily good value for money too.
May 18, 2025 · Will Howdelicious food, hostess/server was super sweet. I'm gluten free and asked if the chicken kara age was GF, she said they usually use wheat flour but thought they could use potato starch instead. She went to the kitchen and the chef whipped up a GF batter and fried the chicken, they taste tested before she came back to let me know they could make it happen :) hard to find such quality service and quality assurance testing ;) portions are HUGE
Dec 31, 2024 · Christi LeMieuxGreat vegetarian selections. We used to come here when it was Shoko. Sad to see it go, but grateful that there is still a really great ramen place there. We've been to the other location multiple times and got to say, it doesn't disappoint. We usually order agadashi tofu, but was pleasantly surprised by the jalapeno poppers, lightly breaded, tofu was mixed in with the cream cheese and the little garnish side salad was sesame oil based. I always get the veggie miso ramen and my husband ordered their classic tomo ramen. They have a great sake selection as well. Delighted in every way.
