Tomo21 Sushi Reviews
Quality sushi…. I love the variety of special dishes that you can find on the wall. Their deluxe sashimi is a good selection of different cuts of tuna, salmon, and other quality fish. A great place for a light meal.
April 06 · Jan VooWe've been to this place for many years. We always get the sushi / sashimi special. Over the time the food quality and quantity remain pretty much the same, but the price went up quite a bit - like everywhere else. Nowadays a sushi deluxe is $47. Think it was $29 back in the days. Cannot say it's the best value anymore, but a treat once a while.
May 12 · JennieSame menu, same chef, higher prices but they take visa now. Sushi chef is the new owner and knows how to make almost everything like Ken did before. The fish is always top quality and the variety is unbeatable for a place also open for lunch. You won’t find yellow fin or big eye tuna here. Only blue fin. They can only get top quality blue fin tuna because they’ve had a supplier relationship for so many years. They don’t wrap their fish in plastic or serve white tuna. For all the people that wrote lackluster reviews, I question their taste and judgement of quality sushi. Go pay 3x the price for sushi nazakawa’s pre-sliced tiny fish pieces. I’ve eaten here at least once a week for years. It’s the best value for the quality sushi you can find in all of nyc.
March 19 · Jerry HoungThis is my favorite sushi spot in the neighborhood. It’s always great. I usually get the sushi regular or sashimi regular, and split an eel roll. Don’t sleep on the enoki butter, that’s my recent favorite. People think of sushi as not being filling, but when I get the sushi regular, I always leave very full. Love this place!
April 06 · Nicole HamiltonSushi was not great, place was very noisy. We went for the combinations and the sushi did not taste very fresh and we got sick of it after eating a bit of it. Ended up paying $50 per person. You can definitely do better in the neighbourhood for that price
