Tuna Bar Reviews
I went here for dinner and really enjoyed the cozy candlelit atmosphere 馃暞锔忊湪 perfect for a nice night out. The sushi rolls 馃崳 were unique in both taste and variety, though I found them a bit on the smaller side. The rock shrimp 馃崵 was a standout appetizer! The spicy tuna flatbread wasn鈥檛 my favorite, but it was still decent. Overall, a solid spot with good vibes and creative sushi options! 馃槉
Mar 05, 2025 路 JacyMy husband and I had a lovely dinner at Tuna Bar for a date night. We had a reservation, but I hadn鈥檛 specified that we wanted to sit outside. When we arrived, I asked the host if it was possible, and she kindly accommodated us. The weather was perfect, and sitting outside gave a really nice European vibe. The street is narrow, so there wasn鈥檛 much traffic or noise鈥攋ust a calm, pleasant atmosphere. The interior also looked beautiful and upscale, but we still wanted to sit outside. We started with the tuna flatbread as an appetizer鈥攊t looked like a sushi pizza and was probably the best choice of the night. It had a bit of a spicy kick and the flavors were really well balanced. I鈥檇 love to try something else next time, but I鈥檒l still be ordering the flatbread again. My husband had the miso soup, which he said was good鈥攕imple and as expected, but nothing special. We ordered a mix of classic sushi rolls and two specialty makis. The classic rolls were nice, though personally I would鈥檝e preferred a bit more spice. The eel avocado was my favorite from the classics. For the specialty rolls, we had the Fishtown and the Liberty, and both were excellent鈥攔eally flavorful and well made.We鈥檙e definitely planning to go back.
May 30, 2025 路 Nini GabuniaTuna bar has the absolute best and most flavorful options from drinks to food on this side of town. I do recommend making a reservation as it does get packed. Our hostess and our server were both sweethearts and really set the tone for a great evening. Very vibrant and dim lighting making the atmosphere more personable with you and your guests. Simply no disappointments whatsoever!
Mar 17, 2025 路 Steffon IssacsTuna Bar is a beautiful sushi restaurant in Old City!We loved the decor upon walking in, but instantly realized the restaurant was very loud. It was hard for us to have a conversation sitting just feet away.I had a lycheetini to start. I was a bit disappointed, it felt overly sweet. However, the appetizers after were delicious. We got the rock shrimp and brussel sprouts. The rock shrimp was battered and fried well, brussel sprouts were perfectly crisp. We got the fishtown roll. It was fresh tasting, but bland. It just didn鈥檛 have that wow factor that a lot of specialty rolls have. The flavor profile was too meh.Overall, the food was good but not great. With how loud the restaurant was and that nothing stood out, I don鈥檛 think I would come back.
May 10, 2025 路 Ariana LucidonioWow! Some of the best sushi I've had! Everything was delicious. We had rock shrimp, wagyu beef spring rolls and spicy tuna crispy rice to start. All were excellent and I'd say try them all. A number of reviews mentioned the Liberty roll, which was really good. But I liked the Broad Street roll even more! A must get. We also had the Big Tuna and it was excellent too. Sat outside on a beautiful night. Do yourself a favor and get here soon!Returned and had some of the same dishes that were still great. Also had the fatty tuna sashimi and the tuna shallot roll. Both were excellent, and I recommend them.
