Uchi West Hollywood Introduce
For discerning diners across California, particularly those in search of an exceptional and innovative Japanese culinary experience in Los Angeles, Uchi West Hollywood stands as a beacon of elevated cuisine. Helmed by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole, Uchi is renowned for its "non-traditional Japanese cuisine," offering a bold and artful blend of classic sushi, sashimi, and an impressive array of hot and cool tastings. This West Hollywood gem provides a dining adventure that delights the senses, making it a highly sought-after destination for locals and visitors alike.
Uchi, which translates to "house" in Japanese, embodies a philosophy of creativity and meticulous execution. While the restaurant has quickly become a buzzy hotspot, it consistently delivers on its promise of "elevated food and impeccable service." Patrons rave about specific dishes that leave a lasting impression, such as the perfectly grilled, melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu nigiri and the innovative Zero Sen roll. Beyond the exquisite food, the restaurant cultivates a "zen feel," creating an ambiance that complements the sophisticated culinary journey. For those ready to indulge in a truly memorable meal, Uchi West Hollywood offers an experience that transcends the ordinary.
Uchi West Hollywood is prominently located at 9001 Santa Monica Blvd Ste 101, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA. This address places it squarely in one of Los Angeles' most vibrant and fashionable neighborhoods, known for its high-end dining, entertainment, and lively atmosphere. Its position on Santa Monica Boulevard ensures good visibility and makes it a focal point in the area.
Given its prime West Hollywood location, accessibility to Uchi is generally convenient for those residing in or visiting the greater Los Angeles area. While indoor seating offers the "full experience," the restaurant also provides outdoor patio seating, which, while comfortable, may offer a slightly different ambiance. Uchi West Hollywood Reviews
Excellent! Have visited a few locations, and this W Hollywood spot did not disappoint. We let our server walk us through the menu, sharing about 15 dishes between our group. Each bit was 5 stars. Only slight disappointment, we were sat outside, not inside as expected--not bad, but a bit sterile and did not really get the full experience (metal patio type tables, not quite the $600 dinner experience). Overall, excellent food and service, will be back (but not unless we are inside)!
May 26, 2025 · dmpThis is a Japanese fusion restaurant in WeHo. We were there to celebrate a girl friend's birthday. For the price we paid per person (4 pax), I expected a lot more from this place. Sadly, the most memorable are the Wagyu nigiri which is perfectly grilled and melts in your mouth, and two desserta (Jasmine Cream and Citrus Eclair). My girlfriends enjoyed the Zero Sen roll. The rest were average. Tyler, our server was great and did a great job at recommending dishes. While the hostess said they don't do anything special for guest's birthday, Tyler brought out a dish that was on the house to celebrate my friend's birthday. The restaurant has zen feel to it. Finally, street parking is precious and valet parking is $20.
May 20, 2025 · Shih-Peng LeongI have visited several Uchi locations throughout the country but this week, I dined at the West Hollywood location for my second or third time… We ordered a ton of dishes to share, which was a great strategy. We ordered several of the chef special cuts of nigiri and dishes. The dry aged fish was unique and unlike anything I’ve tasted elsewhere. The hospitality and service at Uchi is top-tier. If you enjoy unique and high-quality sushi, this is a must try while in Los Angeles. It is a beautifully designed restaurant, we often sit outside, but the inside is beautiful featuring tons of wood finishes.
Jan 12, 2025 · Kelly SidneyHad an incredible time at happy hour! Coming from Austin as a longtime lover of Uchi and Uchiko I had high hopes for the West Hollywood location, and it did not disappoint. Everything was incredible and the team was amazing as well :)
Apr 21, 2025 · Ella Wellswe tried their $55 dineLA 10-course omakase menu and although it leans closer to a tasting menu, everything was so delicious! all the fish dishes were our favorites as the ingredients tasted so fresh and flavorful. the unique combinations, the array of flavors, and the quickness and care of the service to make sure we had our next dish ready was phenomenal. this was such a delicious and fun experience and I love that we didn't have to break the bank on this one.can't wait to come back and sit at the sushi bar. it was pretty packed for a monday night so highly recommend a reservation!
