UDON Lab 우동공방 Reviews
This was overall a good spot. Lunch combo was offered and for one of the dishes we took part in it. Got the classic udon with the Wasabi octopus. The octopus didn't taste fresh so I definitely don't recommend that. The katsu was subpar and I would torder it again. Not juicy and was burnt and the meat was too flat and batter coming apart from the meat... maybe it was old.I really liked my dish the kimchi creamy bacon udon. Both dishes were huge so great job on the portions. I wouldn't come back here for anything else but for the udon to be honest
April 29 · SHonestly I was expecting better based on the reviews. We got a gyudon bowl and curry udon. The gyudon was fine, but the beef was greasy and not the best quality. The curry udon I ordered had an odd charred/burned taste and I couldn't finish it all. It was also hard to flag down a server for more water. Overall okay experience but given the area and the availability of other restaurants, I'm not sure I will be back.
May 27 · XinSuch a great spot with nice employees and cute decor. Seating can be a little tight but still comfortable. Loved the various udon options. The Kimchi Bacon Cream Udon is SPICY but so so delicious. Also recommend the curry udon as well. Will definitely be going back! Now for my standard comments. Location is very clean and well kept.
April 08 · Christine LThis place is just fine. Nothing to scream home about but they have a lot of options. Arguable I think I ordered the wrong thing. I got the dipOption and I think I would rather something with the sauce already added.I’ll go back and try new things. This one is on me
May 20 · Jack TuggleIf you’re in NYC and craving a fantastic dining experience, Udon Lab is a must-visit! Their lunch specials are absolutely amazing, and honestly, I was tempted to order everything on the menu — but hey, I didn’t want to be labeled a big back!I went for the Pork Katsu Curry Udon and Krobuta Sausage, and wow — the flavors were spot on. The curry udon had this rich, savory broth that hugged each bite perfectly, while the pork katsu was crisp and juicy. The Krobuta sausage was grilled to perfection with a smoky flavor that paired beautifully with the creamy mayo and tangy ketchup on the side.Beyond the food, the ambiance is warm and inviting, with rustic wooden decor that gives it a cozy vibe. And shout-out to the staff — they were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in the area, definitely make a stop at Udon Lab. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Top-notch service, great food, and an overall vibe that makes you want to come back for more. Highly recommend!#UdonLabNYC #NYCEats #FoodieAdventures #CurryUdon #KrobutaSausage #JapaneseFoodLovers #RamenLovers #NYCFoodScene #LunchSpecials #FoodieFinds #TopNotchService
