This evening I frequented Umi Sake asa returning patron and regretted my decision. The woman working as a hostess sat me but when I went to the ladies room I noticed the table I occupied was given to a whole new party. When I inquired why I was moved she was smug about it. She proceeded as she did not understand/comprehend my question due to a language barrier. But when I arrived and asked to be seated she understood me then. When I asked for the manager he too proceeded to make excuses and insult my intelligence by gaslighting me. No apology was extended until I told him the hostess needs to apologize for her poor actions. He was reluctant only to cave in. My server Shin was fantastic she was the unspoken hero and the only reason I stayed despite the foolery that took place. The food was great but that whole debacle set the tone I will not be returning. Ignorance is not an excuse. When one makes a mistake a simple apology goes a long way.

Very good dinner! Our first time here and was highly recommend by family and friends. I forget the name of the noodle dish I had but it was enough for 2 people. It’s garlic sauce, onion, mushroom and shrimp. My husband had The Hulk rolls and Kiss of Fire and loved them. We will definitely be back!!!!

The food was delicious, with large portions for a great price. I got the Shanghai Garlic Noodles, Shrimp Tempura, Miso Soup, and Chocolate Lava Cake. The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was great.
