UO NIGIRI Reviews
Incredible Omakase experience!Hands down one of the best fresh sushi meals in LA. Every piece was insanely unique and full of flavor. The chef clearly loves what he does, and is bringing Japan decadence to Venice.
April 19 · Nathan GoodhartI went for a second visit today and it didn’t disappoint. The attention to detail and quality is wonderful and I cannot recommend this place enough. After spending a few weeks in Japan, this is the only spot I’ve been in west la that comes close to the experience. The staff is so amazing and kind. I’ll try to make this place a regular experience. I’ve had the lite UO omakase both times and I can’t wait to try other items.
March 07 · Matt BentonI appreciate the mellow, traditional ambiance. The restaurant was simple but very nice. The fish selection was widely extensive. The dishes tasted palatable… My qualm is that the pricing and portions were quite small for an establishment that touts itself on its “affordability”. We paid $100 per person, without any drinks… which I pay elsewhere for a more plentiful meal. Nothing awful here but I am not running back at all considering the other options for this price.
November 26 · Kelly SidneyWe ordered OU's Premium and some appetizers. It was perfect for the two of us. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was great and quick. The Matcha Zenzai was a bit too sweet but still yummy. Overall a nice dinner!
March 10 · Emma BeeMy wife and I had the pleasure of dining at UO Nigiri this past Saturday night, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. We booked a reservation for 8:30 PM through OpenTable, and upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and given the choice of where to sit. That was an immediate sign of the thoughtful service to come. Not long after we were seated, we were approached by Yusuke, who we didn’t realize at the time is the CEO and founder of UO Nigiri. We mentioned that it was our first time at the restaurant and that we were open to recommendations. From that moment on, the experience felt like a guided culinary journey. Yusuke took the time to chat with us, recommend sake pairings, and offer samples to find the perfect match for our meal.We chose the premium dinner menu along with a couple of appetizers, and every bite was exceptional. Standout dishes included the buttery black cod, the rich and flavorful Nodoguro nigiri, and the incredibly fresh Uni nigiri. Each was prepared with a level of care and precision you would expect from a Michelin star establishment.UO Nigiri offers an experience that is both elevated and intimate. From the genuine hospitality to the perfectly curated menu, it is a spot I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone craving a top-tier sushi experience in a cozy, welcoming setting.Five stars all the way. We can’t wait to return
