We went for the 1st time & it was absolutely amazing !!! We enjoyed our food so much, I almost ate it all & I never do that. The waitress was the best. They have a little bell attached to the tables, so if they're in the kitchen & you need something, you can get their attention easily. It was an awesome experience & we got to meet the Chef. We highly recommend this restaurant. Give it a try, you won't regret it. The beat Japanese food. Their rice is to die for !!!!!!!

I am going to preface by saying it is a very westernized japanese restaurant. Coming from 3 years in japan has probably made this review extremely bias.Pro:- affordable- diverse menu- tailored to alot of western tastes- has japanese and Korean options- shrimp tempura- chicken wingsCon:- extremely americanized- sauce on everything- fish quality- anything with the soft shell crab- wait time to get your food (they only have one guy preparing all the fish, so if it is a busy night be prepared to wait. Don't take toddlers)- miso soupI really wanted to like it, but between the long wait times for food and then the quality, we ended up not eating alot of it. But don't take my word for it, we are just used to a diferent quality. I am glad this option exists in Fayetteville.

I appreciate this restaurant so much. They are the only restaurant that has fresh and delicious sushi and other amazing dishes. My toddler and I went on Friday evening as soon as they opened. We were greeted by a manager and the gentleman who prepares the sushi. The server was lovely, hospitable, and warm. As a mother who wanted to celebrate my birthday in private with my toddler, this was a special evening. Wasabi didn't know but treated us with dignity and kindness. I sincerely appreciate how accommodating they were with my toddler. They made kiddie chopsticks that my toddler could use. That was her first time eating with chopsticks! I travel around the world with my job, and this is one restaurant that stands out for so many positive reasons.

I brought my friend to Wasabi because she identifies as Japanese. She was excited about the Bento box on the menu. She was a child in Japan during WWII. She remembered the happy feeling she experienced when she was 8 years old and she'd get her lunch at school in her Bento box.She ordered the shrimp, and I got the teriyaki chicken so we could taste one another's protein.Her shrimp was salty.My chicken was tastey, but it was very dry and had an unappealing texture. We shared our feedback with the server, who was very pleasant.The ginger sauce was delicious--pungent and not too sweet.The dumplings were crispy but a little greasy.The sushi was fair. I gauged my judgment based on my friend's opinion. I've eaten her sons' hand rolled sushi. Their rice isn't as gloppy.The menu has gorgeous photos.
