Features / Highlights:
- "Absolutely Delicious Ramen": This is the most consistent and emphatic feedback. Customers repeatedly describe the ramen as "absolutely delicious" and even the "best ramen that I've had so far in Portland," with particular acclaim for the richness and depth of their tonkotsu broth. The Sapporo Miso Tonkotsu is a standout, noted for its "rich and hearty" quality.
- Perfectly Cooked Chashu: The chashu pork belly is a significant highlight, described as "cooked very well" and often having a delightful "charred flavor" that elevates the ramen experience. Even those who typically avoid pork belly have been won over by Wu-Rons' preparation.

- Thoughtful Details: Small touches like the "adorable carousel of DumDums" that comes with the check add a memorable and charming element to the visit, showcasing attention to detail and customer delight.
- Authentic Nagahama Ramen Style: Wu-Rons identifies as a Nagahama ramen shop, a popular style from Fukuoka, Japan, known for its light yet flavorful tonkotsu broth and thin noodles. This authenticity resonates with ramen purists.
- High-Quality Side Dishes: While the ramen is the star, side dishes like the cucumber salad and karaage are described as "scrumptious" and "seasoned well," proving that the quality extends throughout the menu.
- Intimate Operation: The fact that it's a "three-person operation" suggests a hands-on approach and a dedication to crafting each meal with care, often leading to a more personal dining experience, though patience might be required during busy times.
While Wu-Rons maintains a focused menu, their commitment to providing exceptional quality at a fair price is a consistent "promotion" in itself. There isn't public information detailing specific, ongoing promotional offers like happy hour deals or loyalty programs for Wu-Rons. However, the consistent praise for their delicious and satisfying portions at a reasonable cost for the quality ensures that every visit feels like a great value. Given their "three-person operation" status, their focus is likely on maintaining the high standard of their core offerings rather than extensive promotional campaigns. Locals interested in any seasonal specials or limited-time menu additions are always encouraged to check their in-store menu or inquire directly during their visit. The best "special offer" at Wu-Rons is arguably the consistently rich and authentic ramen experience they provide.

May 14, 2025 · Tiffany In The GardenWow, the broth is so rich. Best ramen that I've had so far in Portland. The chashu is also cooked very well. Very simple in terms of toppings in its base form, but filling. The chicken karaage wasn't the crispiest, but it was seasoned well. Just an fyi, they're a three-person operation, so please be patient as they cook your meal :). Takes credit card and cash
Mar 30, 2025 · Antoine Pham10/10 Best Ramen I have EVER had. The place is homey and feels authentic. The tonkatsu broth is deeply umami, rich, thick, and fatty, the noodles are delicious, the pork belly melts in your mouth. This is easily my new favorite spot.
Feb 24, 2025 · Allie McNamaWe've been eating here for a couple years now and became loyalists since day one. Portland is so lucky to have a ramen shop of this caliber...it's as close to Japan as we're going to get. All other Portland ramen with their glitz, glam, and extensive menus just fall short. They were a two-person operation...they added a third as of late. They are all so lovely, kind, and hardworking. Expect busy nights, but know your patience will be well-rewarded.My go-to is the #5 shoyu with thin noodles and kaedama 😎 The broth is light, yet flavorful and noodles are perfection. Perhaps an exaggeration...this bowl nourishes my soul.I relish in the fact they are thriving and wish them continued success. Thank you!!!
Feb 06, 2025 · Bud KhuthThis place was the best ramen place I've ever tried! The spicy chicken ramen was amazing and so was their karragan chicken was delicious! We ended up ordering double of our food that's how good it was! There is also kids options which made the experience that much better! Order a Yuzu lemonade, you won't regret it!
