Y Noodle & Bar Reviews
The good: the atmosphere is cool and tranquil. Its a nice spot to hangout. Overall, the service was okay and everyone was pleasant and helpful. Their flavored eggs are delightful. The presentation of the dishes was nice. The bad: The prices for some of the dishes is questionable for what you get. Especially the bento boxes. Not a good value overall. The ugly: The food was not good. We got the pork buns, kung Pao buns, the umami ramen, the noodle trio, and the salmon bento. The kung Pao buns were exceptionally dry and had no flavor. The sauce was just oil and couldn't save the buns at all. They were to the point were they were borderline inedible. The salmon bentos saving grace was the sauce, but the salmon was also dry. For the portion and serving, the price was too much. The noodle trio is tough. Some portions were okay, but overall, everything had an unbalanced flavor. If you were blind folded, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference of each dish.As for the other dishes, the rest of the group didn't finish. We unanimously were in agreement that the value was not good and the flavor of the food left much to be desired. You can do much better at other ramen spots, especially for the price. Can't recommend this spot in good conscience knowing there's better spots around the city.
March 24 · Noah JagerOne of the few Japanese places that has good drinks and wagyu tartare. The wagyu tartare was nicely seasoned and exquisite. The thai ice tea banana milk cocktail was to die for. It was delicious and surprisingly well balanced and immediately became one of our fav drinks. Overall all the cocktails that we tried were good. They also offer a 3-noodle sampler dish that has miso, spicy miso, and shoyu ramen with side dishes. All in all, everything I tried was delicious and the waiter was delightful. Great atmosphere. We went there around 5 pm and didn't wait much. But I could see the place was getting busy around dinner time after 6 pm.
March 21 · Melody SPlaces simply amazing. Dishes are done well and on point. The broth of the was sweet, salty, bitter savory all of the good Umami flavors. Noodles were cooked perfectly in the pork was just delicious. Soup dumplings are some the best I ever had. In the trio of Bao Buns were nommy!
May 05 · Brandyn RubeckFirst restaurant I decided to try in Providence. It is pretty decent! The grapefruit tequila drink they had was actually sweet and pretty good. I had the Wagyu beef ramen. Definitely add spice to it! It’s pretty good with it. It was beautifully presented. However I wish the soup was hotter. Wish the soup came with more vegetables. Or at least Bok Choy.
April 16 · Allieya DePaolantonioThe veggie boa was very good! Ignore the missing dumpling in the photo, I ate it before I thought to take a photo. My friend had ramen and she really enjoyed the egg that came in it.
