It has been 18 years since I have visited this amazing place last time.It has not been changed a bit, the atmosphere, quality of food and everything which made me almost cried when I tasted the food today.I have so much of great memories with good people at this place when I lived in NY.I feel so grateful that this place is still there.And I was very glad that I could come to this place with my 10 years old son.I really really wish I can come here with my family again!
May 26 · Melodious LaughI used to love this place; it was my favorite spot for a good meal. However, I’ve noticed that the food taste has changed a bit recently. Specifically, the kimchi udon, which used to be a standout dish for me, doesn’t have the same flavor it once did. It feels like something is missing.On a positive note, the fries are still a must-have! They’re crispy and seasoned perfectly, making them a great side to any meal. I hope the kimchi udon gets back to its original deliciousness soon, as I’d love to enjoy my favorite dish again. Overall, it’s worth a visit for the fries, but I hope they can recapture what made the other dishes so special.
April 16 · Junni with Double-NThis authentic and casual Japanese izakaya is a staple in St. Mark's that’s been around for a while. A plane ticket to Japan isn't cheap, however, Yakitori Taisho is a great late night eats and drink spot, serving a huge variety of Japanese foods in NYC. The space inside is tight and loud, and the atmosphere is busy and energetic, which is an authentic izakaya experience if you ask me. The menu here is pages upon pages long that it can get overwhelming deciding what to order with the variety they offer. Great to come with a group of 4 if possible to try different foods, however most tables here are for 2. We got a whole feast during our most recent visit: teriyaki chicken, steak, okonomiyaki, takoyaki, grilled mackerel, takowasabi, unagi and egg over rice, galbi, fried rice, chicken karaage, and a lot of yakitori (meats on skewers). Late night hours and yakitori keep this Japanese joint bustling!
December 31 · MingIt was ok, been here a coulpe of times over the past few years. The food has slightly gotten more "sodiumized." It's so far been fine, just watch out after 5pm, as people come in to drink after work.

This latest visit was unforgettable, with the star dishes being the salmon cream yakisoba and Okaka Onigiri. The creamy, savory yakisoba was a rich delight, and the Onigiri had that perfect balance of salty and umami that left me wanting more.The yakitori selection was fantastic, as always, with each skewer bringing its own unique flavor and texture. We had the Sunazuri (chicken gizzard) and Teba (chicken wing), both cooked to perfection with that ideal crispy-charred outside. The Hatsu (chicken heart) was a surprising favorite—tender and flavorful. The Tsukune (beef meatball) had a juicy, well-seasoned profile, while the Gyu (beef) and Gyu-Tan (beef tongue) brought a melt-in-your-mouth experience. The Bara (pork belly) was heavenly, and the Ninniku (garlic) added an aromatic touch that paired perfectly with the savory meats. Finally, the Uzura Bacon (bacon with quail egg) was a unique, satisfying bite, combining the richness of the egg with the smoky bacon.Yakitori Taisho truly delivers an authentic Japanese dining experience. The flavors are spot-on, the food is consistently delicious, and the service is amazing.
