Its accessibility away from the Strip's congestion, combined with its central position within North Las Vegas, makes it a practical and appealing choice for locals seeking authentic Japanese flavors without a long drive.
Zen Curry House focuses on delivering authentic Japanese comfort food, with a strong emphasis on curry and ramen dishes, alongside popular appetizers:
Japanese Curry Rice: This is a cornerstone of their menu, offering the "Original Curry" which is a classic Japanese curry sauce served over rice. Diners can customize their curry with various toppings, including popular katsu options.
Katsu Curry: A highly popular choice, featuring deep-fried proteins (such as Chicken Katsu, Pork Katsu, or Tofu Katsu) served with their signature curry sauce over rice. Options like "Karaage Curry" and "Fried Shrimp Curry" are also available.
Variety of Curry Toppings: Beyond katsu, the curry can be customized with numerous additions, including Grilled Chicken, Fried Calamari, Japanese Meatloaf, Spinach, Scrambled Egg, and even Natto (fermented soybeans) for adventurous palates.
Ramen Selection: Zen Curry House offers a solid selection of ramen bowls, including classic "Tonkotsu Ramen" (pork broth-based), "Shoyu Ramen" (authentic soy sauce broth), "Miso Ramen," and their unique "Curry Ramen" (ramen noodle in tonkotsu-based curry soup). Customers praise the ramen as "very good."
Udon Noodles: For those who prefer thick wheat noodles, "Curry Udon" is available, featuring udon noodles in a curry sauce with choice of protein.
Other Main Dishes: The menu also includes other Japanese favorites like "Katsudon" (deep-fried pork or chicken and egg over rice) and "Yakisoba" (stir-fried noodles).
Appetizers: A range of popular Japanese appetizers is available, such as "Fried Gyoza" (pork and chicken dumplings), "Karaage" (Japanese fried chicken), "Takoyaki" (fried octopus balls), "Naan Bread" (oven-baked flatbread with curry), "Fried Oyster," and "Deep Fried Shumai."
Desserts and Beverages: While the selection may vary, popular Japanese desserts like "Mochi Ice Cream" (various flavors) and "Japanese Cheesecake" are typically offered. Beverages include soft drinks, Thai Ice Tea, and Calpico.

Delicious and Well-Prepared Ramen: The ramen consistently receives high marks, described as "very good" and "yummy." The "Tonkotsu Ramen" is a popular choice, and their unique "Curry Ramen" offers a distinct flavor profile.
Friendly and Attentive Staff: Customers frequently commend the "very friendly" and "great" staff who provide excellent service. Their proactive response to issues, such as quickly replacing an order with a mistake and apologizing, demonstrates a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Reasonable Pricing for the Area: Compared to Japanese restaurants in more tourist-heavy areas like Chinatown, Zen Curry House offers "prices that are way more reasonable," making it an excellent value proposition for quality Japanese food in North Las Vegas.
Cozy and Welcoming Environment: The restaurant is described as "cute" and "not too big," creating a comfortable and intimate atmosphere for dining, which many locals appreciate over larger, noisier venues.
Variety of Menu Options: Beyond curry and ramen, the diverse menu, including various katsu dishes, udon, yakisoba, and a good selection of appetizers, ensures there's something to satisfy different cravings.
Strategic North Las Vegas Location: The restaurant's presence fills a significant culinary gap in North Las Vegas, as it's noted there are "no other Ramen places for miles," making it the prime spot for those particular cravings in the area.
Commitment to Customer Service Recovery: The instance of handling a food mistake with immediate replacement and apology, which was "all appreciated," showcases their dedication to ensuring a positive experience even when things go wrong.
Zen Curry House focuses on delivering consistent value through its regular menu pricing, which is already considered "way more reasonable than in Chinatown" for the quality and portion sizes offered. While specific, recurring daily promotions or large-scale discounts are not frequently highlighted in public reviews, the restaurant's pricing strategy inherently serves as an ongoing "special offer" for locals seeking affordable yet authentic Japanese cuisine in North Las Vegas.
However, it's always advisable for customers to check with the restaurant directly for any current, unadvertised specials or potential lunch deals. Restaurants often have seasonal promotions or may run loyalty programs that are not widely publicized. Delivery platforms like Uber Eats and DoorDash, which list Zen Curry House, sometimes offer their own platform-specific promotions (e.g., free delivery for first-time users, or percentage off for DashPass/Uber One members), which could indirectly benefit diners. Given the focus on good value, the core appeal remains its everyday reasonable prices for quality Japanese curry and ramen.

Zen Curry House Reviews
Review is after 4th visit. Overall service is good. Can be busy out of no where so plan accordingly. The best thing about this place is the location as there is no other Ramen places for miles and if you are feeling the need for Ramen, this location is great for north Las Vegas area. Prices are way more reasonable than in Chinatown
January 12 · John DavisThis is a cute restaurant, it’s not too big. The staff was very friendly. I originally ordered ramen with green onions, eggs, pork, without corn. The ramen was very good. After a couple of minutes of eating the ramen, I found something I’m my food. It kinda looked liked a silver twist tie. I informed the server and they immediately told they would replace my food. So I got something different. They also took the ramen off my bill and they apologized as well. All was appreciated!!! I would definitely visit here again. Everyone makes mistakes and they handled the situation appropriately. I’m grateful for that.We were going to order dessert but they were out of the almond jello. Hopefully we can try that next time.
November 24 · Aj WLove this place! I've been here three times. Each time I got the Japanese curry with rice and vegetables. (There are lots of protein in meat options also.) Usually I like to try new things, but the curry is so good and this is the only place I know I can get Japanese curry. So, I just keep getting the same thing. And, the staff is so respectful. I don't know a better word for it they're calm and courteous. It's refreshing to interact with people this way.
March 04 · Kathy SharpOur waiter was amazing, she went over and beyond for our family. The food was beautifully displayed, hot and delicious. The kids loved the chicken katu which we all ordered the same thing. You can choose the hotness of the curry as well. Nice spice make it best 👌 the early grey jello was wonderful to try made well worth.
August 03 · Sarah HornHonestly, I'm just happy to have a good Japanese curry place near me that offers tofu curry! I lived and studied in Japan and have always missed カレーライス. But it's typically made out of chicken/pork which I don't do anymore. The curry rice is pretty comparable to the curry rice in Japan.I can't say the same about the naan. I would skip it. It tasted worse than store bought naan and you only get a few pieces for the price. They do have コロッケ Korokke which is potato croquette. It was a bit cold but it was good! Just don't see them often in Japanese dinning establishments that are not in Chinatown or the strip. My husband got the spicy miso ramen with vegetable broth instead of the standard pork broth. He said he was expecting the noodles to be restaurant made but they tasted like they were instant noodles. He said the taste was overall ok.The service was great. The only comment my husband had since he was paying attention and I wasn't was the selection of music. Some dirty language and bad words. It's just a bit odd since the restaurant is a bit on the quieter side.
