Wasabi's Sushi Introduce
As a local user seeking dining options in Nashville, particularly for Japanese cuisine, the "Doctor Near Me" platform might seem like an unconventional category for a restaurant. However, in a broader sense, this platform helps users locate services or establishments that cater to a specific need, and in this case, the need is for a dining experience. Wasabi's Sushi, located at 2800 Opryland Dr, Nashville, TN 37214, USA, offers a Japanese dining experience within the extensive Gaylord Opryland Resort. Its presence within such a large complex suggests it caters to both resort guests and local visitors looking for a convenient and accessible option.
You can reach Wasabi's Sushi by phone at (615) 458-6848 or via mobile at +1 615-458-6848. Situated within the sprawling Gaylord Opryland Resort, Wasabi's Sushi benefits from the resort's grand and often bustling atmosphere. The restaurant is nestled within the Cascades Atrium, providing a unique backdrop with waterfalls and koi fish, contributing to a distinctive indoor "outdoor" dining feel. This setting aims to create a pleasant and visually appealing environment for diners, offering a tranquil escape within the lively resort.
The environment at Wasabi's Sushi is a notable aspect of the dining experience, largely influenced by its location within the Gaylord Opryland Resort's Cascades Atrium. Guests can expect a setting that attempts to blend a sense of calm with the grandeur of the resort. The presence of waterfalls and idle bathing koi fish nearby offers a serene and picturesque view, enhancing the overall atmosphere. While physically indoors, the atrium design often creates a feeling of being in an outdoor garden, complete with natural light filtering through and the soothing sounds of water. This can contribute to a relaxing meal, although it's worth noting that the resort itself can be quite busy, especially at night with many people moving about, which some reviews suggest can make the restaurant environment loud. The decor aligns with a Japanese theme, often featuring polished wood walls and lighting designed to create a welcoming ambiance.
Wasabi's Sushi provides various services to accommodate its patrons. As a restaurant within a major resort, it offers dine-in options, allowing guests to experience the unique atrium setting. The availability of take-out and delivery services is also a convenience for those who prefer to enjoy their Japanese meal elsewhere, whether it's in their resort room or a different location. The staff at Wasabi's Sushi is frequently described as friendly and attentive, indicating a commitment to good customer service. Some reviews highlight the service as a strong point, with staff members being accommodating, for instance, by offering gluten-free options like Tamari soy sauce when requested. This suggests a willingness to cater to specific dietary needs and ensure a comfortable dining experience for all.
The primary feature of Wasabi's Sushi is its focus on Japanese cuisine, with a particular emphasis on sushi. The menu aims to offer a selection of classic and specialty rolls, as well as a la carte sushi and sashimi. Beyond sushi, the restaurant also provides other Japanese staples, such as bento boxes and appetizers like gyoza, tempura, spring rolls, and various soups and salads. While the intention is to provide fresh and flavorful sushi, customer reviews offer a mixed perspective on the food quality. Some guests have found the sushi to be extremely fresh with great flavor, while others have described it as being of "grocery store quality at best" and "not bad, just not good." Specific criticisms have included sushi rolls with an imbalanced ratio of ingredients (e.g., too much cream cheese in an eel roll), sushi rice not holding rolls together well, and some cooked items like salmon being overcooked and too salty. Portions and value have also been points of contention, with some finding the prices to be overpriced for the perceived quality, even when factoring in "resort prices." Drinks, however, have generally received positive feedback. The menu also indicates that Wasabi's Sushi offers gluten-free options, making it a potentially accessible choice for diners with specific dietary requirements, as confirmed by positive experiences regarding their accommodation of gluten-free needs.
While specific current promotional offers are not detailed in the provided information, Wasabi's Sushi, as a restaurant within the Gaylord Opryland Resort, likely participates in general resort-wide dining promotions or packages that might be available to guests. Resort restaurants often offer dining credits, discounts for longer stays, or inclusion in special event packages. It is advisable for prospective diners to inquire directly with the restaurant or the Gaylord Opryland Resort for any current promotions or specials that might be running. Given that some reviews mention the pricing as being on the higher side due to its resort location, any promotions or value-added offers could be particularly appealing to local users looking for a more cost-effective way to experience the restaurant.
In summary, Wasabi's Sushi at 2800 Opryland Dr, Nashville, TN 37214, USA, provides a Japanese dining option within the unique and expansive setting of the Gaylord Opryland Resort. It offers a visually appealing environment with waterfalls and koi fish, aiming for a tranquil ambiance, though it can be subject to the noise of the surrounding resort. Services include dine-in, take-out, and delivery, with a generally friendly and accommodating staff. The menu features sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes, with mixed reviews on food quality and value for money, but generally positive feedback on drinks and gluten-free accommodation. For any current promotional information, direct inquiry with the restaurant or resort is recommended.

Wasabi's Sushi Reviews
As someone who worked at a sushi restaurant before, this is grocery store quality sushi at best. It's not terrible but it is not great. The staff is nice and the ambience is okay but do not come here expecting good sushi. One of the eel rolls had more cream cheese than eel and the sushi rice was barely holding either of the rolls together.I would not dine here again and would urge others seeking a decent meal to go elsewhere.
Dec 20, 2024 · NelsonThe service is great. The food is eehh. The prices are way over priced and I can’t say it was worth it. They didn’t wow me for what we paid. It wasn’t bad. Just not good. The salmon was way over cooked and too salty. The lettuce wraps were also a bit over priced. It is just a bit too much for us. We are used to resort prices. But wow.Drinks were good! It is really loud in here as well especially at night with people walking around everywhere.
Jul 21, 2022 · Aubrey WadeWe ended up here as no other place we wanted was available in the resort. but so glad we did. The service, ambience and food is top notch. One of the best salmon I ate. Highly recommended
Sep 25, 2022 · Vani AnandCrab dip is tuna.Salmon was ok but kinda fishy compared to other salmon I've tasted. Waiter was nice but definetly just super friendly and upselling. Ok place but would try somewhere else if looking for Japanese.
Feb 16, 2025 · Brittany SpinksAfter reading all the reviews on the various review sites, we were very skeptical about this place. But were willing to give it a chance, and we are glad we did. My daughter and I both had sushi and it was extremely fresh with great flavor. Yes, the other reviews speak about the odd size pieces, but that didn't bother us.The service was wonderful. I have to eat gluten free, and they were very accommodating and brought tamari "soy" sauce instead of regular soy sauce. The waiter was very friendly and attentive.Yes, the prices are higher than if you are eating at a restaurant that is not in a resort. However, the fish was very fresh, the overall size of the rolls were standard, so I expected to pay more.I'm not sure how they have such a low score, unless it is mostly based on price comparisons with restaurants that have more thru traffic. We will definitely eat here again.Pictured is the King Crab roll (real crab), and the Rainbow roll.
