This address places it within a bustling area of Long Beach, making it a readily accessible spot for residents and visitors alike. The restaurant is situated in a strip mall, a common setup in California that offers a variety of businesses in one convenient location.
When it comes to accessibility, the location on E Willow St is well-connected to major roads and residential areas within Long Beach. For those driving, there is parking available within the strip mall. However, as is often the case with popular establishments in busy commercial centers, the shared parking lot can become quite full, especially during peak dining hours on evenings and weekends. Aikan Sushi - Premium All You Can Eat provides a comprehensive range of services designed to offer a complete and enjoyable dining experience for all its patrons.
- All You Can Eat (AYCE) Dining: This is the cornerstone of Aikan Sushi's offering. They feature both a "Regular" and "Premium" all-you-can-eat menu, allowing guests to indulge in a vast selection of sushi, sashimi, rolls, appetizers, and more.
- Dine-In Service: The restaurant offers a comfortable and friendly environment for dining in, perfect for individuals, couples, or large groups. The staff is known for being attentive and efficient, ensuring plates are cleared promptly and orders are taken swiftly.
- Extensive Menu Options: Beyond the core sushi and sashimi, their menu includes a wide variety of Japanese dishes such as poke, various appetizers (like crispy rice with spicy tuna, jalapeño shrimp, crispy squid legs, and classic tempura), salads (including sashimi salad and cucumber salad), and even ramen and udon soups.
- Customizable Hand Rolls: A unique offering praised by customers is the ability to request many traditional maki rolls as hand rolls, providing a lighter option with less rice for those who prefer it.
- Cooked Fish Options: For those who enjoy cooked Japanese dishes, Aikan Sushi offers excellent choices like yellowtail or salmon Kama (collar), known for being perfectly cooked and served with complementary sauces.
- Accommodating Staff: The service team is highly regarded for being friendly, attentive, and proactive, often informing guests about potential delays during busy periods and readily providing extra ginger and wasabi upon request.
- Family-Friendly Environment: With options suitable for children (though pricing for younger children on AYCE is noted by some as potentially high given limited raw food choices), it's a suitable spot for family outings.
Aikan Sushi - Premium All You Can Eat has a multitude of features that make it a local favorite and a highly recommended Japanese dining spot in Long Beach:
- High-Quality AYCE Selection: Despite being an "all you can eat" establishment, Aikan Sushi is consistently praised for the freshness and quality of its ingredients, especially the sushi and sashimi. The fish is often described as "super melt in your mouth buttery."
- Premium AYCE Worth It: While the regular AYCE menu is extensive, the premium option is highly recommended by many for its added selection of higher-grade items, including uni (sea urchin) that is "soft and velvety with a fried crunchy topper," and flavorful salmon roe (ikura).
- Diverse Appetizer Selection: The appetizers are a significant draw, with fan favorites like spicy tuna crispy rice, jalapeño shrimp (with a lovely, not overly spicy sauce), crispy squid legs, and classic tempura.
- Unique Cooked Dishes: The yellowtail or salmon Kama (collar) is a standout for cooked fish lovers, frequently lauded for being perfectly cooked and paired with a tangy, savory dipping sauce. This item, while sometimes limited in supply, is a definite highlight.
- Flexibility with Rolls: The option to request traditional maki rolls as hand rolls is a thoughtful feature, allowing guests to enjoy more variety without feeling overly full from too much rice.
- Flavorful Sushi and Sashimi Variety: Beyond the premium items, the regular sushi and sashimi options are also highly rated. Specific mentions include the jalapeño yellowtail sushi, consistently winning tuna, tender surf clams with a "pop of wasabi flavor," and non-rubbery octopus sushi.
- Excellent Salads: For a lighter, refreshing option, the sashimi salad with its savory dressing and the crisp cucumber salad are popular choices to get in some greens.
- Exceptional Service: The staff is a consistent highlight in customer reviews. They are described as friendly, attentive, and efficient, ensuring quick service, timely plate clearing, and proactive communication regarding order status.
- Lively Atmosphere: The restaurant maintains a fun and family-friendly ambiance, making it a great spot for various occasions.
Aikan Sushi - Premium All You Can Eat offers value through its structured pricing and specific considerations that can make your visit more economical, especially for locals planning their meals.
One key aspect to note for value is the pricing structure:
- Weekday Lunch AYCE Prices: If you are flexible with your dining times, visiting during weekday lunch hours often provides a lower "all you can eat" price compared to dinner. This is frequently highlighted by experienced patrons as the best way to try the restaurant for the first time or to enjoy their offerings at a more affordable rate.
- Weekend and Holiday Dinner Prices: It's important for customers to be aware that on weekends and holidays, dinner pricing applies all day. Planning your visit accordingly can help manage your dining budget.
- Children's Pricing: Aikan Sushi has specific pricing for children based on age groups (e.g., ages 3-7 and 8-13). While convenient for families, some past reviews have noted that the children's pricing might feel a bit high given potential dietary restrictions for raw foods or limited consumption. It's always a good idea to clarify this if you're dining with young children.
- Party Gratuity: For larger groups, typically exceeding six people (including children), an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. This is a common practice for many restaurants, but it's good to be aware of it upfront when planning a group outing.
While specific, temporary promotions like seasonal specials or loyalty programs are best confirmed directly with the restaurant, the core value proposition at Aikan Sushi lies in its comprehensive all-you-can-eat offerings and the price difference between weekday lunch and weekend/holiday dining.
To plan your visit, make inquiries, or place an order for takeout (if available for specific items), you can reach Aikan Sushi - Premium All You Can Eat through the following contact details:

Given the restaurant's popularity, especially on weekends and holidays, it is often recommended to arrive early to avoid long waits, particularly if you are planning to dine during peak hours.
Aikan Sushi - Premium All You Can Eat is an exceptionally suitable destination for locals in Long Beach and the wider California region, particularly for those who cherish Japanese cuisine. Its appeal lies in a compelling combination of extensive variety, consistent quality, and an overall welcoming dining experience that few other "all you can eat" establishments can match.
For the local sushi enthusiast, Aikan Sushi offers the freedom to explore a vast menu without the usual ala carte pricing limitations. This means you can sample new rolls, indulge in your favorite nigiri, and discover a plethora of appetizers, all in one sitting. The premium AYCE option, in particular, is a strong draw for those seeking top-tier cuts and unique offerings that are often found only on more expensive menus. The ability to customize traditional rolls into hand rolls also caters to those who prefer lighter options or wish to maximize their tasting experience.
Beyond the food, the exceptional service plays a significant role in making Aikan Sushi a local favorite. The staff's attentiveness, efficiency, and genuinely friendly demeanor contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. They are quick to clear plates, refill drinks, and ensure that every aspect of your dining experience is smooth and satisfying, even during busy periods. This level of service fosters loyalty and makes diners feel truly valued.
While the parking situation and weekend pricing require a bit of planning, the overall value and quality found at Aikan Sushi make it a worthwhile choice. It's a place where you can celebrate special occasions, enjoy a casual meal with friends, or simply satisfy a strong craving for fresh Japanese flavors. For anyone in Long Beach seeking a comprehensive, high-quality, and enjoyable all-you-can-eat Japanese dining experience, Aikan Sushi is undoubtedly a prime recommendation and a true local gem.

Aikan Sushi - Premium All You Can Eat Reviews
During our first visit, the sushi rice-to-filling ratio appeared higher than at our Pasadena location. The food quality was acceptable, although the beef teriyaki was excessively overcooked and was asked to take it back. The sashimi and no rice rolls were fresh and good quality. Adult pricing was $42.99 (regular) / $54.99 (premium), with children (ages 3-7) priced at $18.99. We chose the regular option due to the premium menu's only limit for 1st round only which is not fair for the premium price. The children's pricing seemed excessive given their limited choices of consumption and dietary restrictions for raw foods. Finally, an 18% gratuity was added for parties exceeding six, including children. We might stick with our Pasadena location due to the location is closer and sushis have less rice.
Mar 04, 2025 · Leon MThis place never disappoints!! Didn't think it could get any better but to my surprise they added more items for the premium ayce option (January 2025). Going premium is definitely worth it! The selections are fresh, and the sushi is super melt in your mouth buttery. The uni is soft and velvety with a fried crunchy topper that makes it a perfect bite. Salmon roe (ikura) sushi was very flavorful with a pleasing texture as you chew. The soft shell crabs are wonderful. The regular ayce menu has a lot of choices as well. Plenty of sushi options, poke sashimi, appetizers, salads, udon soup, and if you're into rolls, there's a ton to choose from, including some smaller rice free/low carb rolls. The spicy tuna crispy rice has to be one of my favorite appetizers here, as well as the jalapeño shrimp - the sauce is lovely, not overly spicy. The crispy squid legs and classic tempura are great too. There are a lot of appetizer options. If you enjoy cooked fish do yourself a favor and order yellowtail or salmon Kama (collar), you will not regret it (there is a limited supply, so if this is your jam, come early. It's always perfectly cooked served with lemon wedges and a tangy savory dipping sauce.I really love that you can request hand rolls for the traditional maki rolls!! Perfect if you crave a traditional roll, but don't want to overstuff yourself with too much rice. The jalapeño yellowtail sushi is always one of my favorites, tuna is always a winner and if you've never tried surf clams here they are very tender, slightly sweet with an addicting pop of wasabi flavor. The octopus sushi has that nice slightly chewy texture and isn't rubbery in texture. The salads are great to get in some greens, the sashimi salad is my favorite, the dressing is savory. Cucumber salad is also nice. The service is always excellent here, the staff is very friendly and attentive. You will never be waiting long for service, they will come and inform you if there is a delay in bringing out your order when they get busy and they're always checking to see if you'd like drink refills, clearing plates right away as you eat to your hearts content, and they do not hesitate to bring extra ginger & wasabi if you request it. Highly recommend. One thing to note is if you come on a weekend or holiday, it's dinner prices all day. If you want to try it out for the first time, if you are able to, come during the week at lunch for a lower ayce price. Also note, if you want all you can eat, everyone in your party has to be on board. This place gets really busy, recommend arriving early to avoid a long wait.
Jan 26, 2025 · ErinThe crispy squid legs were great. The bento combo dinner s-v tempura spicy chicken was very good. The ultimate salmon roll was delicious. The HH Hot Sake drink was ok. The pineapple was juice was good. I really enjoyed the food here. I appreciate the service here 🙏.

Dec 10, 2024 · Alexander InthavongGood place to visit when you're craving AYCE sushi in the LBC. Good selection of fish and non fish cooked items.
