A standout is the luxurious A5 Wagyu sando, which is a rare treat.

When you choose to visit Aiko & Mumu, you are opting for a unique and high-quality Japanese food experience that is not widely available in the Miami area. The standout reason to choose this place is its specialized menu, particularly the sandos and premium sushi boxes. The A5 Wagyu sando is a true luxury item that offers a decadent flavor, while the Ton-Katsu and Chicken Katsu sandos provide a satisfying and savory meal. For a dessert or a lighter treat, the Strawberry and Matcha Strawberry sandos are highly recommended for their fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation, making them a popular choice.
Beyond the sandos, the sushi and donburi options are crafted with great care. The Omakase Box is a perfect choice for those who want to sample a variety of high-quality, fresh fish, while the Toro Box and JPN Bluefin Tuna Box are ideal for tuna connoisseurs. The Donburi, especially the Chirashi Don and Hokkaido Don, offer a generous portion of premium seafood over sushi rice, providing a fulfilling and elegant meal. The quality of the ingredients, particularly the fish flown in from Japan, is a major factor in what makes these dishes worth the price.
While some customer reviews have expressed concerns about the pricing and the taste of certain items, other reviews highlight the freshness, quality, and deliciousness of the food, noting that it is very similar to what they have tried in Japan. This suggests that the experience may vary by item, and the true value lies in the premium and specialty dishes. For example, a customer who tried the chicken katsu and matcha strawberry sandos noted that they were their favorites.
The thoughtful amenities are also a major plus. The fact that the restaurant is dog-friendly and has accessible facilities makes it a great spot for a wide range of customers. The reservation option helps with planning, and the availability of both takeout and delivery provides maximum convenience. Overall, Aiko & Mumu is worth choosing for its innovative menu, high-quality ingredients, and unique specialties like the sandos and Omakase boxes, offering a taste of modern Japanese cuisine that is hard to find elsewhere in Miami.

Aiko & Mumu Reviews
I guess my rating is only for the sandos, since that was the only thing I got. I found Aiko & Mumu on Instagram, and since it's pretty much the only place around here with Japanese sandos, I wanted to give it a try.First thought when preordering, I felt the sandos were overpriced - but hey most things in Miami are overpriced. I got a chicken katsu sando that was $16 and the matcha strawberry sando that was $12; with tax it came out to be around $30 for 2 square sandwiches. After receiving them, I felt like I paid more for the packaging than the food itself (the packaging was beautiful, ngl. But it was just for the aesthetic- so Miami 😏). The sandos themselves I felt like I could make at home. The bread tasted like the milk bread you can buy at the Asian grocery store (though there are none here in Miami). It didn't seem like they made the bread from scratch. The strawberry sando only had 3 strawberries in the middle, so 2 of the corners were just cream. I had a bit of red bean (?) in my sandwich but I don't think it was in the description? For the katsu sando, the breading of the chicken wasn't even panko, and it was served with 2 pieces of lettuce with katsu sauce.Overall, I will probably not buy the sandos here again, but maybe will try the other options when Mumu comes out. It's nice to see more Asian food places here in Miami, but because of the rarity I feel like they could jack up the prices and no one would care here.
August 12 · Hannah KimAttended their opening and everything was so fresh and delicious. The sandos are very light but filling and tasted very similar to ones I've tried in Japan. The workers are very friendly and nice too.Definitely recommend and will be going back!
August 02 · callycat67Finally a place that makes a real sando. The strawberry sando was the best so far very light and satisfying. A dessert that did not feel heavy.Pork and chicken katsu sando were good too just needed a little more sauce. Can’t wait to try the other sandos. For now key way to score your sando is preorder they sell out before they even open.
August 16 · mma12899First time here - was soooo excited to try their sandwiches, especially the strawberry matcha cream. Everything was so delicious - can’t wait to return to taste more items!😄😆
August 02 · Hikari IThe omakase was out of this world. So fresh, excellent hospitality, the owners checked back after every course. 10/10!
