Akatsuki Reviews
I am SO happy we FINALLY have an incredible spot for Japanese food in CT! As someone who travels to Japan every year I often miss signature grabs like yakitori, curry katsu and good ramen as we don't have much for selection in our state. I'm pleased to say I was blown away with the authentic flavors and extremely reasonable pricing of everything! This is my new favorite spot and can't wait to return!!
May 15, 2025 · Monica CruzHad the curry beef udon with Gyoza and pork buns it was amazing! Our waiter let us know that certain things on the menu were cheaper instead of trying to get one over on us and they deserve much respect! You should defintely check it out! I know I'll be back!
May 04, 2025 · tyquan johnsonAfter passing by the striking pink cherry blossom tree in front of Akatsuki for several weeks, I decided to stop in just after their grand opening! The front of house staff were so welcoming and helpful. I immediately was seated and offered service. They are a couple weeks away from having their full menu available (sushi is coming soon!), but I thoroughly enjoyed my gyoza appetizer, curry chicken and miso soup entree, and mochi desert. The food presentation was beautiful. My only small note was that the entree could have been a little warmer upon serving. I am very pleased to have this new, local Japanese restaurant with a great theme in town!
May 10, 2025 · Elizabeth NowlinI had the takoyaki and the beef and chicken yakitori. They were all real good and the decor makes for a fun atmosphere if you're a fan of old school anime. Glad this opened in our neighborhood, we will definitely be back.
May 01, 2025 · Jeremy WoodwardI went here with my husband and had a great experience! Our favorites were the yakitori and tebasaki. Love that it’s BYOB and it has a fun environment that is perfect for a group hangout or date night.
