Eigikutei offers a refined and comprehensive Japanese dining experience, specializing in multi-course meals and high-quality ingredients. Their services are designed to provide an immersive taste of traditional Japanese culinary artistry.
- Authentic Japanese Kaiseki Cuisine: This is a cornerstone of Eigikutei's offering. Kaiseki is a traditional multi-course dinner that emphasizes seasonality, meticulous preparation, and artistic presentation. Guests can choose from various Kaiseki courses, such as:
- Omakase Sushi Kaiseki Cuisine Courses (e.g., YAWARAGI, IRODORI, MAI): These typically include multiple appetizers (simmered, vinegared, and aemono dishes), soup, sashimi plate, sushi, steamed/grilled/deep-fried dishes, miso soup, pickles, and dessert. The 10-piece Omakase Sushi is a highlight.
- Shabu-Shabu Kaiseki Cuisine Courses (e.g., TSUBAKI, KAEDE, HIIRAGI): These feature a hot pot experience with premium meats like A5 Yonezawa Wagyu Ribeye, A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Ribeye, SRF American Wagyu Beef, or Sakura Pork, along with vegetables, zousui (rice porridge), pickles, and dessert. Options may include additional sashimi or snow crab.
- Yosenabe Kaiseki Cuisine (Kani/Crab Hot Pot): A seasonal hot pot option with various appetizers, a special yosenabe pot, porridge of rice, pickles, and dessert.
- Sukiyaki Hot Pot: Alongside Shabu Shabu, Eigikutei offers Sukiyaki, another beloved Japanese hot pot dish where meat and vegetables are simmered in a sweet and savory broth, often enjoyed with a raw egg dip. They offer a Sukiyaki Gozen.
- Omakase Sushi: While often part of a Kaiseki course, their commitment to fresh, perfectly aged fish and high-quality uni indicates a strong emphasis on the art of sushi.
- Gozen Set Meals: For lunch or a more structured meal, Eigikutei offers "Gozen" sets, which are traditional Japanese fixed menus that typically include a main dish, rice, miso soup, and side dishes. Examples include Tempura Gozen, Otsukuri Gozen (sashimi set), and Shabu Shabu Gozen. They also offer Sushi Gozen combos.
- Sake and Wine List: Eigikutei boasts an extensive selection of Japanese sake, including Junmai, Junmai Ginjo, and Junmai Daiginjo, as well as sparkling sake. They also offer a curated list of sparkling wines, white wines, red wines, Japanese shochu, and beers to complement the meal.
- Reservation-Recommended Dining: Given the refined nature of the experience and the preparation involved for Kaiseki courses, reservations are highly recommended, especially for special occasions.
- Private Dining/Events: Eigikutei offers options for hosting parties, with a bar area seating up to 30 people and a dining area for groups of 16 to 54, with custom menus available for all-inclusive pricing.

Eigikutei, as a Japanese fine dining establishment specializing in Kaiseki, Wagyu Shabu Shabu, and Omakase Sushi, typically focuses on providing a premium culinary experience rather than frequent, broadly advertised discounts. However, there are still avenues through which patrons can enjoy their offerings or receive special consideration:
- Lunch Gozen Sets: Eigikutei offers various "Gozen" (fixed-menu) sets during lunch hours, such as Tempura Gozen, Shabu Shabu Gozen, and Sushi Gozen. These sets often provide an excellent opportunity to experience their high-quality cuisine at a more accessible price point compared to their extensive dinner Kaiseki courses.
- Happy Hour: Eigikutei offers specific "Happy Hours" from 5 PM to 6 PM and again from 9 PM to 10 PM. While the exact specials offered during Happy Hour are not detailed, these periods often include discounts on select appetizers, drinks (sake, beer, wine), or smaller plates, providing a more casual way to experience the restaurant.
- Private Event Customization: For group bookings and private parties, Eigikutei can create custom menus with all-inclusive pricing per person (including tax & tip). This offers a tailored experience for special gatherings.
- Seasonal Menu Changes: While not a discount, the emphasis on seasonal ingredients means the menu evolves, offering fresh and unique dishes throughout the year, which can be seen as a promotional highlight for returning customers.
For the most current and specific details on any ongoing promotions or special offers, it is always recommended to visit Eigikutei's official website, check their social media channels, or call the restaurant directly. Eigikutei Reviews
A Little Taste of Japan in LAI wasn’t expecting to feel like I was in Japan, but Eigikutei really took me there. If you’ve been to Japan and had kaiseki, you’ll know what I mean — this place hits all the right notes. The uni was incredibly fresh, the beef so tender it practically melted, and the fish was perfectly aged. Honestly, I’ve never had such authentic Japanese food in LA before. It was one of those meals where you just sit back and think, "This is the real deal."The staff was super friendly, which really added to the feeling like I was dining in Japan. I’ll definitely be back for a special occasion. Just make sure to book a reservation.
May 08, 2025 · Ginie LeeThis restaurant was so refreshing! The food and the atmosphere was so clean that I wanted to stay here forever. Dinner was a bit brighter and quieter than expected but the lighting was amazing! We got the sukiyaki, shabu shabu, and some sushi. The appetizers were really fantastic even though the seafood was quite exotic (jellyfish and monk fish liver the day we were there). It might have actually been my favorite thing!Everything was great and I’m sure I wouldn’t have been disappointed no matter what we ordered!
Feb 05, 2025 · Madison KimHow do you rate perfection? This traditional Japanese restaurant in Little Tokyo offers the highest customer service paired with exquisite Japanese Cuisine. We ordered their vegan tasting menu, and the food was so delicious and authentic. We will return often!
Dec 26, 2024 · GretaAuthentic Japanese style Shabu place. They do not have variety of chemistry broth here. All they offer is decent quality meat choice. Its totally dofferent than other hot pot place. Even the shabu set doesnt like large but I got stuffed after finishing my meal. Service and food prep detail are both exellent. Relax and high ceiling eating atmosphere. The only downside is the restroom really strong smell even its cleaned.
Jan 05, 2025 · Jean TsouThe plant based kaiseki was amazing. Beautifully presented, deliciously seasoned, and well portioned. The hot pot was the biggest of all courses and it was so much food! The black sesame ice cream was surprisingly delicious.
