Fisherman's Table Yamasaki Introduce
### Introduction / Overview
For those in California with a true appreciation for the art of sushi, finding a restaurant that transcends the ordinary can be a delightful quest. In Huntington Beach, that quest often leads to the doors of Fisherman's Table Yamasaki. This isn't your everyday sushi spot; it's an establishment that aims to deliver an unparalleled dining experience, frequently described by patrons as "hands down the best Sushi experience I have had yet." At Fisherman's Table Yamasaki, the focus is squarely on the quality and freshness of the fish, presented in a way that respects the ingredients and delights the palate.
What sets Fisherman's Table Yamasaki apart is its unique approach to serving sushi in sets, allowing diners to savor each piece as it's prepared and brought out. This curated experience, combined with the "fresh and rich" taste of the food, creates a memorable meal. Despite its "small" and intimate size, the welcoming staff and exceptional culinary offerings make it a highly recommended destination for anyone seeking a premium, authentic Japanese sushi experience in Orange County. It’s a place where every dish tells a story of meticulous preparation and a deep understanding of fresh seafood.
### Location and Accessibility
Fisherman's Table Yamasaki is conveniently located at 7391 Warner Ave Suite G, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, USA. This prime spot on Warner Avenue offers good accessibility for residents of Huntington Beach and surrounding Orange County communities. Warner Avenue is a well-known route, making navigation to the restaurant straightforward whether you're coming from inland areas or closer to the coast.
Given its address within a suite, it suggests the restaurant is likely part of a commercial complex or strip mall. While customer reviews indicate the "Location is small," implying an intimate dining space, the associated parking is typically convenient for such locations. While specific details about parking availability aren't explicitly given in all reviews, being in a commercial suite often means there's shared parking, which can vary but is generally manageable. Due to its size, customers highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, to ensure a seamless dining experience.

### Features / Highlights
Fisherman's Table Yamasaki distinguishes itself in the competitive California sushi scene through several key features and highlights that contribute to its "best Sushi experience."
- Exceptional Freshness and Rich Flavor: The paramount feature is the unparalleled freshness and richness of their fish. Customers consistently praise the "food tasted fresh and rich," noting that specific items like tuna, (smoked) albacore, fatty salmon sashimi (with onion garnish and seasoning), and bay scallops were particularly outstanding. This commitment to sourcing and preparing high-quality seafood is the cornerstone of their appeal.
- Curated Set-Based Dining: The unique approach of serving sushi "as sets" where dishes are brought out progressively as you dine is a significant highlight. This ensures each piece is enjoyed at its freshest and allows for a more relaxed and appreciative culinary journey, rather than a rushed, all-at-once experience. It transforms a meal into an event.
- Intimate and Welcoming Atmosphere: While the "Location is small," this contributes to an intimate and cozy dining environment. The staff are described as "very friendly and happy to have us," creating a welcoming and personal connection with diners. This makes the experience feel more exclusive and special.
- Omakase Options for Discerning Palates: The availability of "larger omakase sets which require advanced reservation" is a major draw for true sushi connoisseurs. This bespoke chef's choice experience signifies a commitment to offering the pinnacle of Japanese culinary artistry, leveraging the freshest seasonal ingredients.
- Attention to Presentation: The detail that "every dish was presented on different plates" adds an aesthetic dimension to the meal. This thoughtful presentation enhances the overall enjoyment and shows a dedication to the entire dining experience, not just the taste.
- Reliable Quality (mostly): While one review noted minor issues with a couple of specific items (Horse Mackerel, Amberjack, and one scallop), the overwhelming sentiment is positive, with customers expressing a strong desire to "come back again!" and highly recommending the location, indicating overall consistent quality.
- Knowledgeable and Friendly Staff: The positive interactions with the staff, described as "very friendly," contribute significantly to the enjoyable atmosphere and overall customer satisfaction.
### Promotions or Special Offers
While Fisherman's Table Yamasaki primarily focuses on delivering a premium sushi experience through its high-quality sets and omakase options, explicit, constantly rotating "promotions or special offers" are not prominently highlighted in the provided reviews in a traditional discount sense. Their value is often found in the quality-to-price ratio for their sets and the unique dining experience.
However, based on the information provided and common restaurant practices, potential "specials" or unique offerings could include:
- Omakase Experiences: The "larger omakase sets which require advanced reservation" can be considered a special offering in itself, providing a unique, chef-curated journey through seasonal fish selections. They also offer an "Omakase Sashimi" set.
- Seasonal Fish Selections: As a "Fisherman's Table," their strength likely lies in providing the freshest, seasonal catches. Diners might discover "daily special sushi" or unique seasonal fish as part of their sets, which acts as a special, limited-time offering. The Yamasaki Omakase Dinner Set specifically mentions "Sashimi (seasonal)."
- Lunch Menu Sets: The availability of "Special Lunch Menu Set" ($37.70) and "Premium Lunch Menu Set" ($50.70) offers a more accessible entry point to their high-quality offerings during midday hours, providing excellent value for a comprehensive sushi experience.
For the most current and specific details on any rotating specials, seasonal fish features, or upcoming omakase events, it is highly recommended that potential diners:

Jan 19, 2025 · Survival CorpsWe ordered the Special and Premium sets. They also have larger omakase sets which require advanced reservation. It's a small place so I imagine reservations on weekends may be needed.Loved the tuna, (smoked) albacore, salmon sashimi (was fatty and had onion garnish and seasoned), bay scallops, salmon handroll, crab handroll. It was cute that every dish was presented on different plates. We also tried:The Horse Mackerel and Amberjack but didn't melt in mouth as much as the other sashimi.Scallop- good at first then had a fishy aftertasteSea bream- texture was good but for some reason it tasted like soap. My friend didn't taste the same thing. Maybe it came from the dish itself?Would come back again!
Apr 21, 2025 · Grace CFantastic place for a curated Japanese menu, small yet relaxing with delicious food!My family just attended the Tuna Event (by reservation) for the first time and it was worth it! See the video for your selves and the huge whole tuna being sliced and prepped for your sashimi and hand rolls. From the ocean to your table! We had our 2nd Tuna Event and just fantastic, the freshness of tuna, from the sea to our table.I think we’re going for a 3rd round this December!
Dec 19, 2024 · Jeric LevisteTasty and high quality sushi/food! The place is small and was full of customers, making it hard to hear because the acoustics aren't very good. The servers were very nice, although there were multiple mistakes on food orders and on the check that they corrected without any issues.
Sep 22, 2024 · Khalid MedhatWe had a reservation and were seated promptly. The server was kind and very helpful. We each ordered the 5 roll set and the fried scallops. Our favorite roll was the eel, and the fried scallops were also delicious. We highly recommend the 5 roll set; it's a great value.
